Patients with the new coronavirus keep the pathogen in their respiratory tract for as long as 37 days, a new study found, suggesting they could remain infectious for many weeks.

So all the info hitting last night was a tipping point for most normal people.

Panic is in the air. I saw lines waiting outside at every general store I passed on the way to work today. I'm expecting a lot more bare shelves.

Keep your eyes peeled for fights or thefts. Especially from people who can't find anything and get desperate.

chest burns with fever its happening fellers

Well, if this is happening to you, vitamins are not a bad thing. C, D, zinc, etc.

Also, to anyone with the means to make a long term investment for their health, getting a juicer isn't a bad thing, and getting a lot of vitamins from raw vegetable juice that many of us are lacking certainly can be beneficial if you don't overdo it and drink a pitcher all at once or something dumb like that (which can start a long diuretic period), but otherwise, it's great and beets, carrots, turmeric, etc can seriously remove periods of fatigue, give much needed stamina for exercise, and make you feel generally physically/mentally better.

Personal health things that I use(I've tried almost everything, most specialized supplements don't do anything/much and are either for something herbally specific or just snake oil)::
-green tea 'matcha' powder; can be expensive, don't get ceremonial kind(unnecessarily expensive/luxury), get the one that is a step lower but high grade and NOT made in China(this applied before the outbreak as well fyi) but in Japan. High antioxidant content. Don't do a lot of it unless you want to piss for hours and get weak muscles from losing vitamins in your urine. 'Ujido' brand is what I use.

-Bragg apple cider vinegar (with 'the mother'). Hard to drink, even diluted but suck it up. It's good for you, probably good for gut bacteria as well. Anecdotal example here: I have primed myself with a few or so 'shots' of it before separately and along with glasses of water before I go running; usually a notable difference in stamina and ease of breath (similar to beets which I will get to).
-Two main juices that I make(with Tribest masticating juicer, although cheaper centrifugal juicers will do as well-just don't buy the super cheap shit-100 to 150 usd is probably minimum for a decent one but get what you can):
carrot/turmeric and green apple- very good, very anti-inflammatory.
Beet/cucumber/celery/pineapple/ginger/lemon- also anti-inflammatory (actually in a different and better way than the first drink), and you notice the effects almost immediately. Wait 30 mins to an hour and you'll probably shit and then feel even better for some reason(perhaps because you're not processing anything at that point but the juice, not sure though). Typically I feel like I can exercise a lot more and breathe easier. Note-blood is thinned due to the beets so don't chug a big jug of it because of lightheadedness and probably a lot of carb intake as well. So, in short, I can go from feeling crappy to great/normal, and from normal to great, and if I was sick personally, I would guarantee that it would help me with at least some aspects of being sick(when I juice I usually notice that both nostrils are usually clear as well). Organic produce seems to be preferred so you don't concentrate as many bad things you don't want, but get what you can.

-Meditation; forget the naval-gazing stereotype b.s. and look for body scan meditations like John Kabbat-Zinn's, or Thannisaro Bhikku's guided meditations. This is good for any time once you learn how to focus and breathe while identifying what you're experiencing with each part of your body, releasing the tension, and moving to the next part. Even if there were respiratory issues going on, some focus and intention with the breath would at least put you in control of some things and ease the discomfort if you only allow it. We are in control of much of our body if we only realize it.

Yea guys, our bad. It was totally one of our hicks that was running around eating bats, penguins, pangolins, and god knows what else. Totally not a bio weapon meant to cripple all you Western devils after you sent us all your masks.

Thanks for the tips, hunkering down for now (I love being home so this is nice even though I feel like shit!) sadly I am one of the people that really cannot afford getting sick (compromised population) so I got some plans in play. I feel bad for folks in areas that are hard hit, cant imagine whats happening there.

Small update. Seems the reason for the drastic reduction in fearmongering in spain is actually Trump. See, our economy has 3 pilars. EU regulated exports, USA exports and internal sales. So fucking galaxybrains in charge decides to backstab the internal sales through fearmongering to try and keep the population tame, thinking USA exports would suffice to survive (as EU regulated exports are already dying rapidly), and as Trump closed the flights they realized "oh yeah wait that can happen" and the population decided to backlash their asses instead of staying tame. Hence they're now panicking as their globalist empires go down in flames. So let's all give these morons a round of applause and thank god emperor trump for once again bitchlapping Spain's awful mess of a political caste. *clap, clap, clap.* I swear Trump's done more to fix our politics than anyone else.

I'm at an elevated risk too and I had a "cold" for a solid three weeks that shared 3-4 symptoms with corona. It was still pretty mild though. I'm hoping that was it and I got off lightly.

In any case look after yourself, stay warm, hydrated and get your vitamins in. And make an effort to do things you find relaxing in your spare time, stress is bad for your immune system.
I'd say its time for video games and soup

The median is 20 days. Trump was wanting 28 days paid time off, which suggests that the CDC may have been aware or suspecting this already, since he's basically following what they want.

Is see a lot of people here boarding the vitamine train with juicers and supplements ect, please use caution because you can get very ill and even die from a vitamine overdose. For example: vitamine C seems very harmless but an overdose gives headaches an/or diarrhea which leads to dehydration, those and others can mask the sympthoms of any real illness you might have. Please use common sense.

So my company's web dev decided to self-quarantine since his girlfriend works in the same building as one of the reported cases in Toronto. Now is probably a good time to squirrel myself away and watch the apocalypse happen right?

China upped their quarantine period recently, so that's probably why everyone else is following suit.

I can't imagine people staying at home for a whole month. They'd probably just snap about three weeks in, go out and start licking door handles.

One of the few times I'm happy I live in such a small town/small county. And thankfully the CC I go to is run by clean freaks, so they've been ready for this long before corona was born.

I just realized last night while trying to sleep that I have a cousin who went to Rome recently. Not sure how recent because my time runs together a lot so I reckon I'll check on him.

Seeing what prominent vitamins that are in things and what is an overdose amount would certainly be good information to skim over beforehand, of course. Couple glasses of beet juice a day certainly wouldn't hurt anyone, but doing some precursory research is necessary for sure, such as not putting a bunch of carrots with beets due to the possibility of kidney stones, or just seeing how much key vitamins the things you're consuming have in them.

2 weeks ago my normalfag friends said "its just a flu bro". now they getting scared.
Same, my country (argentina) is getting a bit agitated because cases keep getting confirmed from tards who were in europe and didn't go to to the doctor until after several days. A local clinic had one suspicious case so my coworkers and neighbors are kinda nervous, oh and hoaxes were being shared all the time on whatsapp.
I wanted to buy face masks then but they were sold out so I told myself "too late now". Last friday I sent my mom to buy my prescriptions and told her to pick up a bottle of hand sanitizer as well, a grandma had bought 20 bottles before she arrived so they were sold out, that wasn't a small pharmacy. Now the government froze the prices of hand sanitizer and the president told companies to start producing at full speed, thats nice and all but it does fuckall when controls at the airport are laughable: people who came from heavily infected countries and those who didn't were all mixed up before getting tested

I gotta say it's hilarious how all the radio stations here are still pushing the "it's just a flu bro" bullshit. The rock station DJ literally just said "think of the servers y'all are hurting" lmao

Gamers rise up!!

Suddenly the dreaded backlog is now a feature. And when you actively decide to eschew social interaction and have conditioned your body to survive on doritos and processed sugar alone, being in quarantine is easy. And if the power goes out? Well there's a DM guide in the other room and a half-finished world to get back to. There's plenty to do if you've got survival basics taken care of. Stay focused and don't panic.
