Shit like this makes me super happy that He-Man got left out of the recent She-Ra reboot.

The more established properties/chracters that can be shielded from this crap, the better.

Cartoon-Network needs a good action/adventure cartoon that isn't made by a soyboy/SJW. Not this kind of crap.

Unfortunately, action cartoons in the old style simply aren't profitable anymore. They're too expensive and barely recover their costs.

AYKSHUALLY that was Ted Turner. He had it cancelled in 1993 because he was on an anti violent cartoons crusade at the time.

That was '95 and it probably had to do more with focusing production on the Cartoon Cartoons, but that's another story.

It's a blessing and a curse. A good show can go if they toys don't sell enough. Yet if it weren't for the companies, you wouldn't get the nice funds to run your show.

Actually, it was Cartoon Network itself that funded The Big O (though Adult Swim carried the Cartoon Network funded second season and co-produced it) and it was Cartoon Network who refused to fund a third season, despite the show making its money back. But that's not completely why the series ended the way it did; series creator Kazuyoshi Katayama actually wanted to leave the story open-ended from the start to make it feel like those old adventure anthologies and compromised with Cartoon Network on the ending.

Not really, The Big O was ALWAYS INTENDED by its creator to do better in America than Japan. It was designed with American audiences in mind, hence all the American culture references and the art style. Its why Cartoon Network were the ones to fund the second season.
