Your evaluation is correct. However, I'd also add that Gray cut Volume 5's legs from under it to make Gen Lock and bring RT too the grown up's table of entertainment. As for Glynda, I haven't heard of anything regarding Miles making her and her VA being Stalin'd.

Just because Miles hasn't said anything, it doesn't necessarily mean that it ain't true when we have several examples:

-First and foremost, Glynda only got a mention by Oobleck and Port when visiting Tai in Volume 4 along with a silent cameo at ths end of Volume 3 where she's shown to be repairing things. You could argue that Beacon needs someone to run things in Oz's absence / we aren't at Beacon anymore but still.

-RWBY Chibi, a comedy series where the dead Pyrrha is now alive and Cardin Winchester show up but Glynda isn't there? In the Battle of the Bands episode, our judges of this competition are Ozpin, Port, Oobleck, and...Winter Schnee? Going forward with this episode, Winter takes up a lot of scenes where Glynda should be because she's staff when Winter isn't at Beacon.

-Television Tropes even mentions Glynda being retired and BTFOED from the show, which led to many people asking what happened on her wiki page for RWBY who didn't see the chimpout of Kathleen.

-RvB's Season 15 has Tex return in the flashback where she and Carolina have a pissing match during a game of capture the flag, which they fatally injured Temple's friend who died after Tex yanked the pole from his body without a care. Tex had her voice changer malfunction and thus she was voiced by Burnie Burns.

-The DC Comic while it is Canon per Kerry's Word of God, it's still a flashback to Pre-FoB and not the current series.

I want to see if I got this right.

Monty had a vision about creating an American made anime that isn't shit. Problem is that while he's an excellent animator and choreographer, he's shit at storytelling and an "ideas guy" at best. After his death, the show considerably changed in tone. He left some notes behind, but apparently not enough to paint a complete picture.

Miles and Kerry saw the potential in RWBY and tried to expand the universe a bit (what some accused as bastardization), disregarding constrains such as budget and deadlines. While Miles might write something presentable under the confines of a smaller scoped show and while being tard wrangled by co-writers, he exposed his own incompetence when handed over the wheel. The writing, especially Volume 5, has shit the bed so much, that the show now lives at the mercy of shippers. Kerry not being fond of voicing Neptune not only explains Neptune's absence, but makes Barbara's statement of characters not being tied to their VAs more ironic.

Regarding the Rooster Teeth clique, they are prone to drama and petty shit, like Kathleen Zuelch chimping out on Twitter and Miles being butthurt about it to this very day, to the point that Kathleen's character got purged and unpersoned. However, minus the Weeb Wars, there isn't any homosexual faggotry on par with Kraut or Funimation yet. While Barb and maybe Arryn come of at times as spergs, the closest thing to lolcows we have are Shannon McCormick and especially Jason Liebrecht.

Is my assessment correct so far? If not, I'm more than happy to be corrected.
Per Monty's own admission he was an ideas guy at best and needed people to flesh out his ideas and reign in his crazier ideas. We don't know how deep his notes were if at all beyond loose ideas for an epilogue and likely won't unless someone plans a years long op to get into RT and access the notes to leak them.

Kerry's less "not fond of voicing Neptune" and more just not fond of doing VA work in general. The guy seems to have anxiety issues but he's mentioned his mother loves Neptune in a commentary and he seems to like doing it for Chibi.

I wouldn't say Miles is butthurt about Kathleen's drama specifically since she was fired and they simply haven't used Glynda yet, and they likely haven't considered casting her replacement yet. She didn't help by saying Burnie's wife only had a job at RT by fucking her way to the top. In general RT's approach to controversy- ignore it unless it blows up and we can't- works out for them in avoiding giving us content.

And in the depths of twitter...

And the archive snip for those curious of how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Hero Hei is actually pretty cool because he just serves to expose how thin skinned RWBY’s fandom really is.

True, but if someone like Hero Hei gets your panties in a twist, I can only imagine the people who'll give you a stroke.
I wouldn't say he "gets my panties in a twist," but I do think that if he wasn't aligned with ISWV he'd have gotten a thread here long ago with his spergy obsession with trying to paint everything as RT's downfall and his refusal to own up to his failings.

Even before the Vic stuff he was a hardcore fan of RWBY and even tried defending it after Volume 5 by excusing RWBY as a "special show."

Yeah he was a hardcore fan but he's since become more critical of it. Not as critical as I would like but it's painful when a show you're really invested in turns to crap. I don't think that's something to hold against him, especially compared to what a lot of other people are doing. He's not blindly defending RT like a lot of their shills are despite the overwhelming amount of issues with the company. A lot of people take a while to really come to terms with something they care about turning rotten, and I'll admit there were times in the past where I'd take a while to honestly admit a show I liked really went down the drain.

And RT has been on a pretty severe downward spiral this year with multiple controversies, lots of people leaving or getting fired, and their arrogant attitudes with fans who don't completely kiss up to them. They even shut down one of their stores recently which doesn't inspire confidence in the company. Yeah Hei focuses on RT more than other ISWV people but that's cause he's been into RT stuff for a while so it's a particular area of interest. And him being ISWV doesn't protect him from the farms. We're not on either side and plenty of people like TUG, YellowFlash, and even Nick have been mocked here.

My friends who still watch the show are telling me the writers decided to have Jaques be a shitty Trump allegory, down to an equivalent of Russian interference. Because who doesn't enjoy terribly shoehorned political allegories?

Is it true? Please God tell me it's true. This shitshow keeps getting better and better.

The answer is yes, yes, and yes.

Literally the very first episode is unironically called The Greatest Kingdom, with two drunks spouting how great Atlas is and shit before one of them spout off TOTALLY SUBTLE racism at Blake.

It gets worse from here.

So they went from shoving BB in our faces to vomiting it down our throat. Fuckers are not even subtle about it anymore.

*sigh* At least there's some Renora here, cause they at least had buildup since V4.

I'd argue those two had it since Volume 1, but at least their pairing wasn't choking the shit out of viewers because the Galaxy Brain Duo and their third writer are REALLY desperate to sell this to everyone. Like, this is pretty much the Korra X Asami pairing from Legend of Korra but somehow it's even twenty times worse than that pairing.

Seems the NPC goofballs have a preference for rushing lesbian pairings, moreso than their straight counterparts.

New Episode today. Spoilers ahead, beware all ye who would enter here.

Ren and Nora are together now. I'm very happy for that, to be honest, as they're two of my favorite characters still alive in the show, and I've been rooting for them since Volume 4. Their relationship's progression was a bit sparse, but it made sense, and the way the reveal and the closure was delivered was entirely in-character for both of them. I love both of my babies.

Now, let's move on to something that's not in character, not well-addressed, and I'm certainly not rooting for at this point. It is day 369. Bumblebee is still extremely inauthentic and corny. Blake's traumas involving romance, which were established earlier in the last volume, have mysteriously disappeared in favor of being awkwardly gay. There is nothing new under the sun.

Watts is a fucking icon. Finally, a RWBY villain who doesn't seem to be a retard or a complete joke. I can't wait to see him get ruined or Mary Sue'd out of the ass to his defeat.

Korra and Asami were at least only forced because of the time the pairing was introduced. The writers couldn't realistically put an out and out lesbian couple out in the open in a 'children's show at that point when they're on a major television network. They had an excuse, if a bit of a dodgy one.

RT has no excuse.

It was only till friendship tho, they had no romance there. Hell, Yang was straight up being shy & blushy at the guys at the tournament gave her a look. Same goes with Blake when Sun did the same to her.

Now they just wanna munch each other's carpets outta nowhere.

Again as I said, Ren & Nora had buildup since V4, we knew they would happen one day. Same with Sun & Blake. Nobody saw Bland & Yang becoming thing except for then delusional & now sadly correct yurifags.

Here’s what they’re going to do: explain that for all that time in the past, Blake and Yang were in the closet/“not being true to themselves”.
