OT, but she eventually got the sentence overturned and now she's where she should have been the whole time, in a mental institution. I don't know that she'll ever get out, but honestly, her fucking asshole of a fundie husband should have been the one behind bars.

Anyway, back on topic, Gruggles couldn't even attempt an insanity plea. To hit the marks for insanity you have to be able to demonstrate that at the time you committed your crime you didn't know right from wrong. He clearly knows what he's doing is wrong. The major problem here is that outside of potential CP on his lap top all we really have are stories where he's been ultra careful to "obey the law" and verbal abuse. I sincerely hope that lap top takes his fucking ass down. I'm not sure if grooming is considered a crime, though it should be, but he managed to manipulate Plainey into doing it anyway. I think she's in much bigger trouble than he is right now.

What about the "sick pleasure in hurting people when he has nothing to gain" part? Would that be apart of the BPD/NPD or something else? I mean the things he does to people that in his eyes have wronged him, shows a lack of empathy since the things people did to "wrong" him are so trivial in comparison to his response.

Gurg uses taylaineykai as a shield constantly. If you are not doing what he wants, you are upsetting Taylor. If you are allowing a girl who escaped on your live chat, it's a problem because Taylor is upset. Not because he wants to control your communications of course, but husboi has a sad.
He does it with all the young women coming forward, and their supporters.
Claiming what they are doing is harmful and hurting Kai, rather than answering for anything. He's not concerned about her at all, she's just the shield, a way to deflect.
I have binge caught up with this thread after not look at it since September. As a survivor of DV, it has not exactly been a pleasant read/ watch although Shiloh' interview made me want to cheer for her.

If they can prove he was aware minors posted half naked photos and were subsequently targetted by adults who, at some point, exchanged nudes/engaged in sexually charged conversations with them on his forums, then they might be able to argue more than just posession of CP.

He ran what I would consider an underage online bordello. Browse the girls (and boys, Rag Reynolds ended up in a relationship with a grown woman) then take your pick, and know you're in a safe haven for them to be groomed and taken advantage of.

If he knew and did nothing there's got to be some culpability, a grown ass man who has a daughter should certainly be concerned about something like that, not joining in and objectifying those same teens for YouTube shekels and free advertisement for his illicit internet bordello.

There are videos of him slandering Skye and trying to paint a bad picture of her that go back to 2010, when Taylor was only 15 and still hadn't discovered Shane (and subsequently, Greg).

His efforts are getting more and more ridiculous. He has trapped himself into a corner and is panicking because he can't find a way out.

He is painfully aware that he’s getting older. He thrived in that “emo teenage heart-throb” mentality and is still trying to cling to it.
But age is slowly chipping away at all that “beauty” he thinks he has, and the thought absolutely TERRIFIES him to the point that he’s desperately grasping at anything to make himself look and sound younger.
 
I think it might have been Null that mentioned it on a stream, but one very common thing amongst cows of all types is an intense nostalgia for an idealised time in their past. Often the reality was not as they remembered, but they fixate on that point in time as representing what they truly could be, possibly because the more they age the more they don't wish to confront what they have done to their lives.
