He just doesn't get how this stuff is a big turnoff. Comicsgate had a golden goose and they've basically fucked it to death with their ridiculous infighting.

Projects going forward will be much less successful than before. Goodwill and trust that creators will deliver in resonable time have both dissipated.

The original Comicsgate strategy was simple and effective: Support what you like, don't support what you don't. Now it's turned into fucking autism with people backbiting and shit-talking each other both to gain influence and to try and turn people against other projects.

It was literally the simplest strategy imaginable and they somehow fucked it up in ways I can't even fucking figure out how they managed.

Look at who is talking. You do a bit of psychoanalysis of the ComicsGate situation, complain about backbiting and "shit-talking" and yet you back-bit and shit-talk attacked someone else who did psychoanalysis of the situation. And as you did that you bashed Ethan Van Sciver for doing it also.

These moaners don't make any points at all, they're just a-logging in an attempt to craft a victim narrative for themselves in the most obvious and transparent way imaginable, and they're Jessica Yaniv levels of inept at it.
I've far more reason to believe they're salty at their failure to dick ride their way onto Comicsgate live then believe that they and EVS are smoking cigars and laughing behind all his customers backs at what masters of deception they are, while slowly burning their base to the ground. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
The reality is that 90% of people don't really care the book is late, they do get exasperated with people that can't be honest about the reasons though.

A stickman web comic is not really comparable to what comicsgate are doing, you might as well compare it to a kickstarter for a coloring book or a unicycle earning a million bucks.

As soon as I posted receipts here from pissed off customers frustrated with the lack of updates on the Red Rooster's campaign page you were straight on to Mitch to 'fix this now!' You should take your some of your own advice in that regard.
If you can't be straight with the customer you will only loose what trust they have left in you. Most people tend to calm down when they at least know where they stand.

Oh, I don't disagree that Ethan, like may creators, needs someone to keep him in line and focused on what he's doing. Dude needs to spend less time on YouTube and more time doing the work he promised to do, which means drawing his comic and fulfilling any promised backer rewards. I think the main problem with Ethan is he doesn't just see himself as some dude making comics, but as some sort of important figure in the comicsgate shitshow. I mean, didn't he at one point try to copyright "Comicsgate" or some shit? Or am I thinking of something else?

You are right about that. A hundred years ago a 45 year old man was busting his ass working to feed his family. He was worried about paying bills, about parenting his kids, if his kids were going to end up dead in some damn war.

Cut to Ethan Van Sciver, he's worried about StarWars and super heroes. His Goddamn mind never matured. He has been locked in basements for the past 27 years doodling kiddie comics and jacking off. The slob has never lived in the real world. All he knows is to react to what movies, comics and toys he likes and his fat ass gets bored and starts shit with others doing the same thing. He's like some fucking kid on a playground at 45 years old. The same things that were important to him as a 4 year old are important to him now.

They might not have cared so much if the stupid bastard had not been playing right in front of them on YouTube instead of moving that lazy ass! Then he wanted to make the people in mainstream comics jealous and show off his new house. He couldn't resist the temptation and it pissed people off. Since that time he's done nothing but lie about why he was so late. Still claims it was because of quality and that Bloodhoney was his best work ever and but his pages were lazy and deeply flawed.

He was late because he thought he could be and it would not matter. He was too busy living the high life to worry about giving the backers what they paid for. Same deal with Bitch Breitwussy. Fuck both of them!

Never heard of them. Word has been going around for years about Vansciver sucking cock. I heard it back around 2006 at Wizard World in Philly. People were just talking about it as I waited in a line to meet Lou Ferrigno. Lou wanted to know who they were talking about. He is a nice guy. I thought Vansciver was openly gay until recently.
