More like what they did with Herbert Hoover, who was also a wealthy businessman who had never run for public office. They had him take the blame for the Great Depression. The Nazis were only capitalizing on the crisis and began their own transition to economic and political centralization. The end result is essentially the same with a few minor differences. And with how much Trump is attaching himself to the resurgent "success" of the US economy, it seems like he's being set up to take the fall for the next depression. You mean like they tried with Nazis and it didnt work?
Almost half of all Americans are on some form of benefits, others are struggling to make ends' meet or have barely have enough to cover emergency expenses. You crash the economy and suddenly a lot of people get fed up and look for those providing them some form of salvation, no matter how insane or evil it is.
In every system there are those who seek to game it for their own ends. The economies and governments of the US and EU are no exceptions. Why do you think corporations and banks spend millions of dollars on lobbying? Why do you think we got the deep state meme? Why do you think populist movements exist in the first place?Considering how laughably incompetent the CIA's been exposed to be recently I highly doubt there's some Illuminati controlling civilization like you seem to be implying here.
