Even if Lola doesn't die now Gwen is just going to do the same crap she did before that put Lola at further risk for infections and viruses. She learned nothing from what she did to Claire or when she gave Lola chicken pox .

She is still going to let Lola root on dogs tongue's , take her out in public for asspats and media attention and so on .

Late, but yes. In fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva, respiratory problems are often some of the worst complications. The disease causes connective tissue and muscle to ossify, so they can't expand their rib cages to breathe. It's an extremely rare disease, though.

Here's a little boy whose back is getting all hunched over from it. He'll never be able to sit up straight again.

This is the skeleton of Carol Orzel, who donated her body to the Mütter Museum in Philadelphia so it could be displayed next to another FOP skeleton. She died in 2018 at 58 which was a very long time for someone with FOP to survive. Many people with FOP (including Carol, I believe) die of cardiorespiratory failure because their heart and lungs just can't function when they're crushed by so much bone tissue. Her skeleton doesn't look that gnarled because she also had severe osteoporosis and arthritis at the time of her death and some of the excess bone had lost so much calcium it was translucent. But you can still see that rib cage ain't right.

Here she is in life, an old pic from quite a while before her death. She had almost no body fat or muscle tissue left at the time of her death and could only move one finger and her wrist.

It wasn't really discovered until that time. When Claire was born she was simply diagnosed with microcephaly plus cerebral palsy and other deformities and issues. Lola being born with all the same deformities alongside her microcephaly helped confirm there was an underlying issue causing all of these, with the Hartley girls being the very worst of the worst.

I think this is the ender. Lola doesn't even have the immune defenses of a newborn, and I'm certain that if it doesn't kill her it got the ball rolling for complete organ failure.
I give her a month if this doesn't make her drop dead. Her eyes lolled to the same side of her head for once.

I thought "Baby Faith" turned out to be a complete hoax? Or maybe it was someone else -- they had to cover her eyes because they kept falling out of their sockets, or whatever?

Baby Faith was totally legit, it was baby April Rose by Beccah Beuhausen that was the big brainless baby hoax. Crazy bitch faked a live blogged home birth and a reborn doll. It was hilarious.

Faith was the one who's eyes had to be taped in. That was why she kept their knit caps yanked down over her face, her skull was so non-existent, her eyes didn't really fit in the sockets right.
 
I'm pretty sure this trip to the hospital has proven to me that with any form of modern medicine the potatoes could have at least had some semblance of some quality of life. Within an instant Lola was better when receiving proper treatment. I was already mad at Gwen for her Woo shit but this pretty much just solidifies it. In my opinion, if she's going to act like the potatoes as if they are alive, she's going to have to treat them like it. Give them medications, we know Gwen doesn't actually believe in homeopathy or naturopathy or she would go to one of those con men when Lola is sick, not straight to the hospital. Does Cal have to use any of these therapies when he's sick? As far as I know he's been using modern medicine while his sisters are given raw goat's m.ilk, essential oils, and CBD to cure all their ailments which is just disgusting on so many levels. No the sisters aren't alive like us but we'd still look down on someone for torturing a butterfly or a spider
 
Love how everyone is pretending Cal won’t have “an accident” leading to a debilitating brain injury after Gremlin#2 dies.
