After personally looking into the details myself, I've found a few odd intricacies. The first is that there is a collection of videos made by an apparent group of her friends berating specific users "Super Daisey boi Fan" and "4Vaati" for mocking her. As an aside, these two users seem to also be proponents for select characters being put into Smash, with Daisy and Vaati being their respective choices. This whole thing may have started as the three (along with "SomeAshleyFan," the supposed suicide victim) having a petty argument about the game's roster. There's also mentions of a person named "Daisyisepic" messaging her, who may also just by "Super Daisey boi Fan" again.
I've also found a few videos, where the creators of them knew personal details which, put bluntly, is rather hard to believe they would know about when they're admittedly not very close to her, like how the girl was 16, was "abused" by her father (which I believe may be an exaggeration), and planned to move out at 18. The fact that they knew this info, and that the videos make an exceeded effort to guilt the two aforementioned users with her suicide, suggests that this may all be just a ploy to berate these two users and accuse them of being at fault for a suicide to "win" an argument that Ashley should be in Smash. Which, needless to say, is a more believable cause for this whole debacle. It also is unfathomably moronic, including the backlash for it. I personally believe these accounts which uploaded the videos are either the girl herself, or her friends who are in on the ploy.
To summarize, looking at what I've found so far, I personally believe this suicide is fake. Rather, the apparent suicide was used as a means of having a "final say" in a petty argument over Smash's character roster between "SomeAshleyFan," "Super Daisey boi Fan," and "4Vaati," whose usenames highly suggest an enthusiastic devotion to the characters who share their namesakes.
Regardless, the absolute lunacy surrounding this is cataclysmic.
This is apparently the source of people saying this person committing suicide. My personal thanks to literally nobody in the Smash community for fact checking and providing evidence for anything and making it so I had to double and triple check the same sources while sifting through absolute hysteria.

Perhaps I'm being cynical, but most people who commit suicide don't include with their suicide note a line basically stating "maybe this will teach you a lesson" like they're doing it for petty revenge. That's more of an "angry elementary school student" kind of thing, threatening to kill yourself to show the big bullies (or "Super Daisey boi Fan" and "4Vaati" in this case) how bad they are. In addition, most people don't make a Twitter account within a week of them deciding to use it to announce said suicide.
Furthermore, there's some other sketchy (or, more precisely, obvious) flaws in the announcement of their suicide, such as her (until recently unmentioned) brother saying she died because "she hasn't been waking up lately," and the person who announced her suicide sharing similar typing patterns (as seen when comparing her Twitter bio to her suicide note, where an ellipses composed of exactly five periods is used). She apparently was also prone to lying and faking harassment to prove her points before.
Anyway, I'll reupload some videos people made reacting to the said hysteria and edit it onto this post later.
Edit: While continuing to look into this, here's another Reddit thread of mouthbreathers throwing their two cents in on how Smash is literally killing people or something like that. However, there are a few people pointing out the dubiousness of the situation. Or just mocking people in general.
Here are the videos.
This video, by "OfficerMidnight Chopper," has a decent amount of views and is particularly stupid in terms of comments. I also had to audio boost it, since it was insanely quiet. Worth noting is he's quicker to point out he got a new plush toy than to say his friend supposedly committed suicide. Also, he's clearly is fake-crying, as the viewer can audibly hear him sniffing dry air in attempts to sound like he's sobbing. The delivery of his speech also isn't particularly convincing, leading me to believe it's entirely faked. Whether this is done to feign genuine sadness due to his emotional inability or to maliciously fake it in order to sell the scenario through an act is yet to be known.
This next video, by "LollipopDraws- Nat," is just text. But there are multiple comments telling them that this is most likely fake (or at least sketchy), and their response is them backpeddling while trying not to acknowledge its questionable legitimacy. This also specifically calls out the two users I mentioned before, and also relays questionably personal details.
This final video, by "Abdual Khan Mohammed," appears to be just documenting the overall idiocy in the comments before ending with footage of Ashley (the character) getting hit with a chair by professional wrestlers CM Punk and Stone Cold Steve Austin, so big props to him. Give this man a thumbs-up or star or whatever it is Youtube uses now to show your appreciation. It's worth watching just for the ending, but it also has a lot of people overreacting to this mess.
All in all, I cannot find any reason to believe this is real, yet many to the contrary. Regardless, as shown in that Reddit thread, there are a countless number of people who hold on to the idea that this has any basis in reality, either to appear sanctimonious, complain about the Smash community, or just due to general stupidity. Or any combination of the three.
Update: According to SomeAshleyFan, her accounts got stolen by a friend who she gave the info to.
However, I don't buy it. Especially since, despite her accounts being stolen, the fake suicide note and edited Twitter profile still uses the exact writing style she uses all over. I'm absolutely certain she's just saying this to save face, especially because in the quote she gave, she was more than willing to hand over her account details without even asking why.
Therefore, I still maintain that she faked her suicide to win a petty argument, and has now tried to pass it as "my account was hacked" after realizing the controversy she stirred. The only thing I'm questioning now is whether or not the friend's request for her account info is faked or he was in on ploy to cover for her, since there's no timestamps on the Discord messages.
And of course, there's probably still going to be people giving the stock and tired "Smash community is toxic" spiel, just now flipping the tables from mean bullyjerks to attention-seeking liars.
