Its actually a bus with some SW aesthetics that will take you inside the hotel and to the "hotel entrance" at Galaxy's Edge.

Also here's the newest food item at the Cantina... This is Oga’s Secret charcuterie board...
disneys-hollywood-studios-ogas-cantina-star-wars-galaxys-edge-secret-menu-charcuterie-plate-au...jpg

Its pork rinds, dried spicy peppers, flat bread, onions and what looks like turds. Apparently it was made because the Batuu Bits snack bowl I posted before wasn't selling too well. This supposedly tastes better than the vegan Batuu Bits but it just looks fucking gross and less alien.

And speaking of food, Disney is getting sued because guests found live bugs in their salad at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort a few days ago.

On top of that, Filoni's Clone Wars is solely responsible for the meme that the EU is full of contradictions and worthless (both of which apply more to the Disney canon). It irreparably destroyed the carefully crafted (and at times self-correcting) continuity of the EU by being considered a part of it, instead of being relegated to it's own separate TV canon. I don't have any examples on hand, but this guy sums it all up:

I remember seeing that guy's videos before. Excellent choice as they got me interested in picking up more of the old multimedia project (which you can find at discounted prices if you know where to look).

Though apparently the comics directly tied into Genndy's clone wars are hard to find.

Anyway, now at least my youtube recommends are giving me good stuff...

Looking at the cabin pictures and hotel layout, I do not see any that would accommodate physically disabled and/or older guests.
It might be worse since there will apparently be sliding doors in the hotel which, like @millais said, is a liability.
A spaceship themed hotel is doomed to fail the suspension of disbelief test due to one intrinsic flaw. They can't have automatic sliding doors for the various hotel rooms because it would be an injury liability and probably not permissible under the fire/building code.

This looks like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I remember watching those some time ago, and although my memory is fuzzy I remember enjoying the videos and were absolutely excellent, but my only issue was his view that George's direct input or approval somehow matters when concerning the value or importance of a piece of media that's well loved and did well (although claims that George had zero involvement with the old EU are bullshit to be sure), and its been used against Fordo a few times by new fans simply to "pwn" old fans, even though its ironic since George has even less input with Disney stuff. And speaking of Filoni Wars, I recall that many of the arguments against old canon started springing up more than usual around 2009-10 when Filoni Wars was at its peak. But what most bothered me where people saying Genndy Wars was awful or mindless in comparison to Filoni Wars despite feeling more realistic in its depiction of war and others complaining that jedi were too powerful when really that's just how Genndy's does action, then again same people who made such arguments were people like Dobson, and it was only natural for Genndy fans to be upset at the time considering how much Filoni's show deviated from Genndy's. Who were always bitching except for when Disney took over.

Yeah, I'd guess the line about George's stamp of approval was made in response to people who insinuated that the EU was a non-canon wild west of stories that contradicted George's movies, which is false. There were things in it George didn't like but nevertheless allowed, like Mara Jade, and things that were strictly off-limits up to a point, like the prequel era until The Phantom Menace came out. Point being that George was the central architect of the Star Wars brand, which is something Disney/Lucasfilm today sorely lacks, and it shows. He set up a bounded sandbox for people to play in & enforced certain ground rules to ensure the integrity of his movies and of the brand itself.

What I find interesting is the observation you made about arguments against the old canon, which leads me to think Lucasfilm reps were actively arguing for Filoni's Clone Wars amidst the fanbase, while posing as fans themselves. Pure conjecture on my part, but not out of the realm of possibility.

It also reminded me of this video. I need to rewatch it first before I can comment on it, but I'll plug it here for you guys in the meantime:

That's a pretty shitty-looking charcuterie "board".

At least they call it what it is: a plate.

Anybody here who can still afford to go to Disney World, get yourself a real charcuterie board and an expensive glass of Scotch at Mizner's Lounge in the Grand Floridian. They sure as shit won't stop you at the monorail platform for your papers, and you get to enjoy an old-timey band just outside the lounge or watch the park fireworks from afar.

What a wonderful time not to have an annual pass.

It looks flat out revolting to be honest (then again I'm not a fan of pork rinds). I didn't think highly of their old main snack plate "Batuu Bits" but at least it wasn't a strain to look at.

The swirly fish chips at least look neat. They also added a new dessert based on the old Oga ration but renamed it Rodian Ration for some reason and added vodka to it. Not sure what that's about.

I guess not enough kids were going to the cantina?

So it's a spoon based jello shot? I wonder how much vodka is in it? Probably not much, this is something alcoholic at a theme park so it's at the "walked through with it's boots on" for $25, but damn if it was at the strength most bars/people make them at, that's a lot of booze.

Ah, yes, the charcuterie board. Apparently 'Disney Food Blog' actually reviewed it and pretty much said it was 'shit' in the nicest possible way.

Plus, I find the idea of a bus-based 'transport' between the hotel and GE to be laughable. Unless that's an electric bus made by Tesla, how the fuck are you going to disguise the signature noise of a massive diesel engine? You can only soundproof a bus so much! Plus, since it's only EVER going between two places, why not just build an electric tramway or something that's less likely to break down halfway between the ship and space, which after evacuating the passengers ruins the illusion because SURPRISE! you're in a back area of Disney World in Florida.

Also, all this Star Wars talk reminded me of an ancient memory - once, I was looking through a classmate's book about the pre-history of Star Wars (before Episode 1 I guess) and there was this one picture that stood out to me namely because apparently, at some point this galaxy had PILOTED MECHA? Like, it was a very Gundam-like robot with a laser gun. I don't know what I saw and I don't even know if that's even something that was Star Wars related given it was in excess of 15 years ago, but if there's any place I trust to give me the goods on that thing, it's here.

Disney World is the most drunk friendly place on earth and while Galaxies Edge is shit, I shall not hear thee besmirch the name of other fine booze selling establishments located near free and easy transportation that I don't need to drive.

They will also know when you're drunk and when you arrive at your place you'll get an assortment of hangover medicines on your bed without even asking.

Turkey legs are also best recovery food.

@GeneralFriendliness JJ is apparently worried by the lukewarm response on the Episode 9 from fans.

Also, remember those rumors about Disney buying Activision? Well, EA apparently has hired their FIFA boss to manage and oversee their non-sports assets, which are struggling right now. So maybe there’s going to be a scenario where EA sells off their non-sports assets, including the Star Wars license, to someone else, wouldn’t you agree?

Ah, I'm used to amusement parks near me, where after a drunk tourist died from circumventing safety equipment half of them went completely dry for a decade.

Piloted Gundam-like mecha? All Walkers I know about are two or multi-legged non humanoid models.

First thing that comes to mind when concerning Gundams and Star Wars is that Transformers+Star Wars toy line from many years back which weren't really part of a story or anything, just some neat toys.
1567560751306.png

The Millennium Falcon Transformer (from 2006) was sort of gundam-ish and could split up to transform into Han and Chewie. But its not part of the SW universe obviously.

As for in-universe, closest thing to looking like Gundams or mechas in general would be some of the mechanized Zakuul machine gods but those weren't created until 2015 for TORtanic, just before TFA came out. But they're not mechs since they can't be piloted.
1567560885664.png

It comes from planet Zakuul and fitting to the name of its planet, it looks like a Zaku mobile suit. Kinda... Sorta reminds me of a Z'Gok.

There were also battle droids that could be piloted, but none of them resembled gundams or traditional mechas as far as I know. There were the SD-series droids which were the largest of their kind but they couldn't be piloted I think.
1567564232050.jpeg
1567564391518.png

The SD-9 in particular looked like an RGM mobile suit but it wasn't too big.

But a very interesting mecha, at least for me, was the Basilisk War Droid which was used by Mandalorians, although it was more of a small zoid than a gundam.
1567561970442.png

Or perhaps it was this thing you saw?
1567563490942.jpeg

The Great Heep was a villain in the 80s Droids cartoon. It was a giant droid that could potentially consume and grow endlessly.

If there's one thing I can recommend is that one day at least spend one full day just visiting every bar and pub in the parks and spend the whole day just drinking. The best time is when Epcot has the wine and food tasting so start there and go around to each country getting a signature drink or two, from there go to magic kingdom and then to either Disney Studios or Animal kingdom both of those have the same number of bars and eateries, but Epcot has the most alcohol throughout any of the parks.
