To be fair I too would be overjoyed if Jonathan Yaniv is dying from metastatic dick cancer, but then we are talking about a man who has ruined lives, and is intent to cause further harm, in real life, not someone who just spoke something I don't happen to agree with. I won't wish it even on Rhys.i genuinely don't understand this sense of harm this person is supposed to have caused.
you'd think that brain cancer would be on the list of things you wouldn't wish upon your worst enemies.
Yeah, but why don't actual biologists or geneticists(female for that matter) counter these clowns?
Or are they too busy doing actual science and just don't seem to care?
I couldn't find either critcism or praise for either of them...
But, Karkazis seems to running around writing tons of opinion pieces with some clearky dubious statements....
I wonder if this doughy asshole has ever apologised for anything in his life. He’s a hateful, angry misogynist who wants everyone he dislikes dead, and no amount of oh-so-smart I-never-used-those-words justifications can hide that.He is doubling down on it and boasting that he's untouchable because he has tenure.

Big talk about being untouchable from someone who needs the help of co-authors for all his "prestige" papers. Let's see how many of them still want to play.
He may not literally get himself fired, but he's cutting himself off at the knees.
I've heard Rhys is working with the libertarian group Fire and the group has already sent the CofC warning.Yeah, if he starts making too much attention: alumni donors could begin complaining. Not enough to get him fired, certainly. But, it would probably begin to strain the relationship with him and the administration.
Interesting, so 'Fire' is in his corner huh? Wonder why its not the ACLU?I've heard Rhys is working with the libertarian group Fire and the group has already sent the CofC warning.
CofC is a state school but has a very haughty alumni base.
His relationship with the administration has always been strained. He barely squeaked through tenure and his superiors have told him to knock off the social media trolling, which of course he didn't.Yeah, if he starts making too much attention: alumni donors could begin complaining. However, this doesn't matter because Rhys was never "going places" in academia to begin with. He won't get fired and won't get promoted.
They could just desolve his department. How big of a deal is philosophy at CoC?
You can, but the administration has much more of an interest in preserving the invulnerability of tenure than in getting rid of one embarrassing but mostly harmless babysitter of freshmen. In a political climate that's hostile to academia and tenure in general, no one's going to want to set a precedent that might chip away at these protections. You can get fired if you have tenure.
Rhys would change his tune too if he actually saw some people die. Doing the edgelord thing rhys is doing is an advertisement of ignorance about what death entails. Medicine is full of really narcissistic people (esp surgeons), but since death awaits everyone it tends to give them pause to see what it is like.Wow. I honestly don't know if I've seen Harrop react like that, before.
