Twitter has some of the most egregious selective enforcement I've seen on the entire internet, with only ResetERA offering any meaningful counterpoint.

I am more surprised it has not happen earlier given how targeted the account was, generally if you don't want to be banned don't swear, don't say words that flag bans like Tranny or TERF and never interact with anyone who will report you.
Some exceptions to this are really dumb like I got a 24 hour ban for posting a video of a news report on the Christchurch shooter where the reported said "he claims to have been a navey seal".

With how Mombot posted, one would of expected the account to get flagged down and suspended. Mombot managed last longer than other spergs.

To do that, rival platforms would at least have a larger userbase. Mastodon and Gab would of rivaled Twitter but those barely get any notice among most people.

For anyone not knowing exactly what the links are aside from the link titles or not wanting to give them clicks, some pro-GG sperg with issues killed an ex and then offed himself. All that aside, the only proof of him being a pro-GG soggy knees was some blogpost Fudzilla mentions and some community he was a part of noting his behavior as mentioned in Wired. Guy likely would be someone that could match Homer Beoulve in being a giant tard that could bitch about feminist.

Did anyone really bring up any sort of GG sperging though? The most coming to mind with this would be more like people sperging over the difficulty of Sekiro and some journalist using a mod that someone's reply became it's own meme.

I'm still wondering if there's really any link to sperging about GG over it. Like would any of these people be "literally, who?" gaming journalist or Twitter spergs that ranted since as far back as possibly the early days on how GG is a right wing gay op or trying to link anything of GG to the Capitol Hill raid? If not, this is all just a necro.

I think from their mindset gamergate and the rise of trump occured roughly the same time ergo the two events are linked because their worldview is entirely through the lens of internet culture. They saw the unfufilled promise of the Obama years rot into the rise of the right as desperation kicked in and as humans are want to do tried to contextualize it into what they knew about. The truth is nobody with half a brain gives a shit about gamergate after 2015 and frankly if you think it's relavent at all irl you need to log off twitter and never come back.

I'd wonder what the source for this is. Wouldn't be surprised if it's say some breadtuber or whatever trying to paint GamerGate as anything else beyond just being some autistic shit filled with its share of lol-cows. More so if said person tried to correlate it to Trump winning an election or somehow bolstering the Alt-Right when you likely have people in the Alt-Right see it as nothing more than stupid kiddy shit. As someone that simply sees GamerGate as nothing more than autistic screeching, I can still see it as living rent free to these people even with what they could go on about the current alt-right movement even though that movement technically came more from right wing spergs trying to cash in on the idiocy of SJWs and spamming their shit than any shit about ethics and misogyny of GamerGate. Only thing GamerGate changed in online discourse is what kind of people you get that'll sperg for or against it. Only relevancy it has is just being a dead horse for people to milk than any autism of the alt-right.

GG and the rise of Trump being linked is given only by Steve Bannon and Milo on top of any \pol\tard and the like going between \pol\, GamerGate, and other sites. Everything beyond that is just people needing to touch grass when they think that somehow, someone that's pro-GG anti-SJW playing footage for a trailer of a porn game or some anti-SJW youtuber working on a game will somehow mean the alt-right still has some kind of influence just because they're working with some game company that likely will keep out any of the political spergings in their product.
