Probably. One thing about the Furries, they feel like whatever field they're in, especially creative, it's going to be a networking goldmine for them, no matter skill or the advisability of a particular career.

It doesn't help that you have a handful of furs who are pretty successful in various subindustries - they go "chase your dreams!", when the number of people who can make a living while mainlining furry culture is tiny.

Especially funny when they convince themselves they're producing something of quality. It's not YouTube commentary, it's not 2 viewer Twitch'ing; it's tweets and reposts to an audience of sub-100.

"I need money to go on a business trip to a furry convention to transcend "internet stranger" to "personal cumsock" with a bunch of homos who've got their lives in order". Every single popular fursuiter/con-go'er I've met had a good career and lots of logic. They paid $2500 for a fursuit to get drunk, fuck dudes at cons, and make 2500 extra followers a con by handing out business cards. They don't make a business off of posting crotch shots of their fursuits; it's a hobby. It's entertainment.

Meanwhile one of the more genuinely talented furries I know never goes to cons or schmoozes, has a "work until your hands fall off" work ethic when handling commissions and subscriber work, owns no fursuit, and just wants to make people feel like they're getting their money's worth. Limps by on pittances each month. It's fucked.

You know, usually I'd hesitate to inject reality into an animal-head-person discussion about imaginary monsters but I'm pretty sure Native Americans don't give a fuck if your dumb ass talks about skinwalkers or wendigos, they're too busy trying to stave off rampant poverty and alcoholism and reconcile their cultures with a world that is threatening to leave them completely behind. Love all the white savior shit in that whole mess, though.

I seriously do not understand why it's okay to use one culture's monster but not the other. Stop treating natives like they're sensitive babies that will shit their pants over cartoon animals

By this same token, treating witchcraft, astrology, and magic as cutesy/cool things is wrong because Abrahamic religions, including the left's dearest Islam, dictate those are wicked practices that invoke demons.
