Going by the mathematical rule for our present-day society (older_age/2 + 7 == minumum_younger_age), she's too young, but going by biology it's all fine. Good for him.

The creepy thing about Shane is that he was probably ogling his wife before she was of age (or even started puberty? I forget the exact chronology).

There is nothing weird about dating someone 30 years your junior. The reason why Shane is creepier is because it was his friends daughter, he most definitely knew her before she was old enough and the quick turn around between her coming of age and them getting together heavily implies they were either actually together before she came of age or he groomed her in to a position that he was first choice after she came of age.

How do you ask you parent corporation, aglobal multi billion operation and household name, for an HR investigation team, because someone known only as a twitter handle, called one of your publicly known contractors a pedophile on social media? How do you then fire him, when you find no incidents involving sex, sexuality or sexual contact, and what marginal things you find involve things not within the scope or domain of your business?

How does a reasonable observer not reach the conclusion that this was a setup?

I have only ever seen this much autism happen in a court case with two other lol cows. Brett Kimberlin and Bill Schmalfeldt. And both of these chucklefucks went at their lolsuits pro se. This is the first I've seen of this much insanity done by actual lawyers. They dun gone full Bill Schmalfeldt. And you never EVER go full Bill Schmalfeldt.

The only thing that expression is good for is an ineffectual hash function. There's literally no rhyme or reason for it, and the only reason it's popular is because it came from Friends or HIMYM or something. There's actual legal confusion between states as to what constitutes a proper age of consent, so people trying to on top of that socially legislating relationships based on age gaps when the two participants are unambiguously of age is straight bullocks.

That's not much. My friend's dad is dating someone nearly half a century younger than him and he's too much for her despite the fact that he has some major health issues. :story:

One thing to note: The difference between Vic and Shane in this situation's that there's reason to think that Shane may have known his wife for quite some time before she was of age. Hence the Groomer accusations. Vic, so far, has nothing indicating anything similar. The age difference? Meh. May/December romances happen. The other? Eh...

The gofundme existing and the person who started the gofundme telling people what's in their best interest does not make it SLAPP in any way. Even if you grant that Nick is an agent of Vic AND is intimidating the defendants (not just telling them what's truly in their best interest, in his opinion), it also requires that their speech be protected under the first amendment. Even if you grant the first part, it DOES NOT cover all necessary parts for it to be a SLAPP suit, especially considering that the plaintiff (and Nick, if you are willing to grant that he is an agent of Vic, which no reasonable person is) absolutely and most certainly believes he has a fighting chance to win this lawsuit, and that's obvious to anybody seriously involved. The majority of SLAPP suits are brought by plaintiffs who really don't think they have a chance to win, they just want to intimidate.

What on earth does she think he's done that is a disbarring offense? He's not involved in the lawsuit, he doesn't have any professional obligation here. Even if he leaked all sorts of stuff from Ty, AFAIK none of it has been privileged, and even if it was I don't think they revoke a law license without a client complaining about it. And Vic is not Nick's client.
