I found that video quite sad as in what a waste of a life but at the same time I wanted to give his head a wobble.
“I’m on my own, I have to manage on my own, I’m completely on my own, I’m trying really hard, I don’t understand why no one will help me, I’m on my own 24/7, if I had people who could help me it would be easier” Seeing the resources which were made available to him I can't see what else anyone could have done - 6 Fire personnel called in to get him to hospital. smh.
Really found it shocking that he could gain, in 6 weeks, more than double my body weight. Find it hard to grasp how that is even possible let alone understand how anyone could do that to themselves.

yeahhh but i feel like the type of drama WE like at the farms is not the same drama as mouthbreathing TLC viewers like (for the most part).
while we scream with ironic delight over the disappearing vienna sausages and tammy's hilariously impotent bad attitude, your average TV consumer will probably be more invested in who is sneaking tammy food in the hospital or some made-up relationship shit, usually set to some dramatic piano music.
slaton drama is so good because it's so mundane. i can see a TV show ruining this.
to be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand the slatons.

I cannot imagine how much food one has to inhale to gain that amount of weight in that short amount of time. It is at least $9000 worth of food. In just 6 weeks. I buy ~€120 of food for 4 weeks. I eat well. That amount x80? Not even funny. He must be the destroyer of toilets, but more likely mattresses. This has to be some Guiness record.

I suppose for people with normal appetites it's hard to grasp, it is for me. I spend approx the same £ as you every month - that includes fish, meat, fruit/veg, dairy and I don't skip meals either so God only knows what volume he was stuffing down his throat. Fascinating yet shocking.

This is precisely why I hate the American welfare system. Instead of serving as a helping hand to give people time to get back on their feet, it breeds a dependence upon the mysterious and all-powerful "they" who were placed on earth solely to solve all of the welfare leech's problems.
Sean was such a mentally stunted manbaby that he was unable to do anything for himself and, when he couldn't get the help to which he was accustomed, all he did was whine about it instead of trying to actually take matters into his own hands. Then, when he got some small amount of money, instead of trying to save it (or even buying something nice for himself) his lack of self-control and inability to act independently caused him to buy enough food to literally eat himself to death.

Not wanting to derail the thread further just wanted to say the UK has similar problems regarding benefits - the ones in genuine need of help are stigmatised because of the lard arses who think it's their God-Given right to doss 24/7.

i am so sick of being angry at lolcows and fat rétards for the way they treat their pets- it is one of the few lolcow characteristics/behaviours that seriously gets under my skin, and it's horrifyingly common.
it's almost emotionally exhausting for me, actually, because all i want to do is grab them and shake them and make them understand that animals are not toys or things that may be used for our entertainment. rate me a-log if you want, but this shit bothers me. animal abuse is more than physically harming an animal- abuse falls under neglect as well, and we all know that the slatons and amberlynn neglect their animals. sure, i'm Mad On The Internet, but being a pet owner means that your pet is dependent on you for safety and care. they can't speak up and they can't ask for help.
fuck... i don't need to say this again; this has been discussed several times in the ALR thread and in this thread by various users, of course.
bottom line: if amberlynn or amy can't even take good care of their pets, tammy- a literal sped with limited mobility- should be the last bitch alive who is allowed to adopt a puppy.
part of me hopes someone will notify whichever adoption center she chooses of tammy's "it's just a dumb cat!" comments, for the sake of whatever little puppy would potentially fall prey to her.

Well we will be able to tell right away if they manufactured something. We are familiar enough with Slaton antics to know what is not typical. And they are just too dumb not to screw up any lines they are fed. Tammy can't keep a secret and Amy's exceptional brand of damage control just points a big fat red arrow at her every time. Tammy would spill the beans about fake drama and Amy would make her typical sad attempt to come up with an excuse. Maybe after 50 takes of "fake relationship drama #367" they will give up when only three seconds of stitched together footage is useful.
If there is a Godbear out there, please do not let Tammy get a puppy.
Tammy has said multiple times that she doesn't like animals. Didn't she smack one of Maw's chihuahuas on the head pretty hard in an old video? Then she lied about Minnie/Mickey the cat going to a new family and when asked again started screeching that it was just a stupid cat. She tormented Dustin's cat with the grabbin' stick when she knew he was afraid of it and laughed the whole time even when Dustin wanted her to stop. Tammy is going to get a 2 lb. chihuahua and treat it like dirt. Then she will blow her top when it disappears and people naturally ask where it is. Doggo abuse is gonna look really bad in the media, Tammy. Don't do anything that gets you all over the tabloid trash sites for screaming "It was just a stupid puppy!"
Amy has been through exponential animals. And I still am not convinced Mickey the guinea pig is still alive. In fact, I don't think she has mentioned him in quite awhile save for when she said she still had him. He is either dead or so fat by now that Amy's limited brain function has realised she will catch hell for it. Remember he was on like four bowls of food a day and way too many treats. Not a fresh veggie in sight. I would not be surprised if he died of diabetes.
lolcows don't think of pets as family and companions. They are toys and something to show off on camera for cheap views. They get rid of/neglect the poor thing once they are tired of it.
I really hope Dobby lucked out with a better family. Amy made up so many lies about Dobby in the beginning that I don't trust her word now.

Unfortunately there's a lot of extremely dumb people that get a pet or two (or ten), especially in their part of the country. There's plenty of people as dumb as Tammy, or even dumber, who get pet after pet. It's not hard to get them, either. All you have to do is find out who's unfixed dog(s) or cat(s) had babies, or even who doesn't want their dog/cat anymore, and boom, cheap to free pet. Look at how easy it is for Amy to keep getting dogs, and she's barely smarter (and smaller) than Tammy.
And if you want something that isn't a cat or dog, well, pet stores don't give a shit who they're selling to as long as they're selling. The only thing stopping Amy from having a long line of guinea pigs is her own lack of interest after just one.

Fat people end up with fat dogs because they don't spend enough time walking/running/playing with them. It's a known issue, any vet will tell you when they see a fat dog, it belongs to an overweight/lazy owner.
