Let's pour one out for the guys who don't make it into Sword and Shield

Tell me again why they couldn't just patch in more pokemon at a later date because I feel like they could just do that.

They can, they have, and they probably will. I'm sure will be getting an announcement before the games release.
 
I found a list of cool features that were only included in one or a couple of games:

Now, I know they can't include all of these in games, but there are some really great features that have gotten shafted. Things like Secret Bases, the Dexnav, walking with a Pokemon partner, and the Vs. Seeker/rematch system added so much to their respective games and it's disappointing that Game Freak doesn't seem interested in bringing them back.

Some of the things this guy listed are still in the games afterwards. There's still day and night cycles and you can still rematch trainers. Not to mention that a few of these features were some that many didn't really care much about like berry farming (seriously, how many people here actually bothered to do that?) and the pokemon contest.

I loved the idea of berry farming in Hoenn, even though I was never good at berry blending, but I liked it a lot. My secret base in Ruby was in Route 120 right beneath Registeel's Ancient Tomb because it was just a beautiful spot, and I could grow berries. Was super upset it wasn't there in the remake, but I found another spot I was okay with. I also thought the Pokémon Contests were interesting, and I was super proud of myself to get my Azumarill buffed in Beauty and win Master Rank. Never got the other ranks, though, but eh.

Other people use berry farming to get berries for competitive battling given their held items status. Liechi Berry I think was meant to be a bragging right for those lucky enough to see Mirage Island, but it boosts Attack, so farming it was essential.

Oh fuck, the day/night cycle, you know what goes on this chart? Music for different times of the day, from Gen IV. That smooth and jazzy night version of the Pokemon Center theme and the night version of Sinnoh’s Pokemon League are two of the best soundtracks in Pokemon ever and I would battle anyone who disagrees if my DS’s weren’t broken.

You mean Joe isn't considered a lolcow yet? I'm honestly surprised considering that he defends GF alsmot 24/7 and his forum has become an echo chamber where wrongthink about new pokemon games gets you a warning at least and a permaban at worst.

Alola's berry system was my favorite by far. All in one place you can access at any time instead of having to fly to specific route. Was especially handy for mass-producing Leppa Berries (the only renewable source of PP restoration besides going to the Centers).

When Archaic had his thread made, I was surprised Joe didn't get one made, or at least wasn't mentioned more in that thread. Then again, Archaic's thread's pretty inactive.

Joe's got a unibrow going on, right? It's been years since I've last seen his face, I just remember he had that resting bitch face going on that's typical of speds like him and the mods/pet popular posters back in the day used to joke he'd be the 40-year-old virgin.
 
Archaic was the admin of BGF right? In 2005 Joe faked quit for attention over something Bulbagarded did.

And it was that moment when I realized Joe was kinda Spergy.

But I still followed Serebii til like 2009..
 
Who is the bigger lolcow Joe or Archaic? I know Archaic had the whole hidden porn forum but Joe has been a nutcase for a very long time. Also was there any actual evidence that real CP was being distributed by the Bulbagarden mods?

Honestly all the Pokemon bnfs are lolcows. I still remember when Water Pokemon Master leaked an image of Victini from the 13th Pokemon movie and pissed 2chan off to the point where they were calling for him to be deported from Japan.
 
Can I get some hot goss on Joe or Archaic? I never went deep into the pokemon community because going competitive was too much of a hassle. Love a good nuzlocke run though
 
I think they're both cows, but until it's discovered Joe has been preying on his young userbase as well (I'm not aware of any secret subforum on Serebii), Archaic is the bigger lolcow, especially since Bulbagarden closed off half the forum to non-members after the Metokur video.

It's not just Archaic. Most of the Bulbagarden staff are crazy. I still can't pick which one is the biggest lolcow after Archaic.
 
It's strange considering at the start of the outrage, he was actually onboard from what I saw but now he took an extreme 180. I guess he wants to kiss up to a studio lazier than current day Bioware to stay in their favor. He's been going around trying to debunk all sorts of arguments with nitpicks of them.
