I'm lazy and busy so I'll just link to this KiA thread but Kate Leth just managed to start up a miniature drama shitstorm by endorsing underage porn fanart of the show's characters and trying to defend by going "but we're "queer" though".
It's also hilarious to see these two faced snakes try to go on about forgiving people for mistakes when they hold year old grudges.

Maybe instead of telling us how "magical and cool" the opening is you should, you know, actually show it? Is she even familiar with the phrase "show, don't tell"? Some short preview would have been so much better.

Also, eeeesh, look at these awful beanmouths. "anime inspired uwu" my ass.

The stringbean Adventure Time limbs also get to me. On top of that, holy shit I almost can't tell who's who without there being color, that's not a good thing in a group shot.

Wait, no seriously, who's that chick on the left there? I've never seen her before. Is the bottom one the dwarf or not? If it's the dwarf, why is she wearing some cloud-looking skirt when she wasn't shown to wear skirts? Rosemary's apparently the one in the back, but we can barely see her while the dwarf gives her a murderous look. Sage is the only one you can identify in the group. What a fucking awful picture.

Wtf is this tard scribble? They can't even produce any animatics yet? Or worse, is that actually from an animatic? In any event it looks like pig shit.

The way they mentioned 2013, I assumed this sketch was from then.

This looks like absolute fucking ass, there are actual NPCs that people have designed with Blender that look better than these piles of garbage.

Jesus Christ, it's been how long since they announced, and they're only mixing a theme tune, now?

What's really frustrating about this is how these lazy, creatively bankrupt twats have been given so much money and protection to make...basically nothing. The total lack of anything to show after so much time is disgusting. It's not like there aren't people out there that are not only creative, but talented.

I mean, fuck me, look at these!

They're advertisements to get people to visit fucking Oregon, and look at how much effort and creativity went into these. This animation is Studio Ghibli quality.

Screw it, why doesn't Crunchyroll just give the funding for this shitty go nowhere project to the people behind these adverts? Because I am not gonna lie, I kinda wanna see an anime set in the magical land of...Oregon, now. Fuck.

Well they're part of the Women In Animation lobby, they don't create shit, they're racketeers at best.

It looks like they've gone full CalArts "beanmouths and spaghetti limbs".

To be fair:
– Oregon didn't have to keep that quality for entire season of full-length episodes.
– the government loves wasting taxpayers' money, so they hired the best studio to do those; HGS is a commercial venture and they can't afford to pour all their money into it

Wasn't this horseshit supposed to be made in Flash or something? Good god how long should it take.
They hired animators who apparently did not know how to animate.

This is because they based their hiring practices on just getting women and in general women do not like taking the technical and process heavy classes like animation. So from what I understand they're trying to teach these people now how to properly animate something for longer than .5 seconds and they're suffering burnout because the "animators" didn't think it would be this hard.

They also wanted 3d in this bitch, and not just any ordinary 3d but 2d stylized 3d for creatures and mechanical stuff which is much harder to master from not only a visual standpoint but a technical one since you really have to think outsize the box since everything is meant to function in 3 dimensions. So if you want your character's mouth to stretch a certain way just like 2D you might need to build a whole separate face and rig for just one single scene. Granted in the average 90 minute movie it's normal to have more than a dozen or so rigs for each character. But 2D and 3D really do not have that much crossover in terms of program knowlege, Maya/Max/Softimage and Toonboom are two different beasts entirely

Still, it'll make for a great shitshow once this drops.

Also i want to add that the dude isn't showing anything and is instead showing the sketch from 2013 is because I'm sure that the moving pictures he's talking about are the literal storyboard drawings being sequenced over the music. Music is kinda the last thing you focus on unless you have like a deal with a real artist because music rights are kinda weird in how they work because then you have to structure shit around other stuff and days where the artist can record and if they have a new album coming up and if that song should be included or not due to the artists record label and what they want to do.

Also the opening is usually not the thing you want to focus on first. You want to bang out the episodes or pilots and the opening comes after that all is done since it can be re-used and it's essentially fluff.
