renfamous bought the KamehaCon ticked AFTER Vic was coming back to KamehaCon, she only bought it to complain about how she wasn't going anymore
The attorney is in the filing for the trademark so it's public record. They have two such Trademarks, then there's another one called Fear the Beard, Not the Mess as well. Not associated with Duck Commander.Duck Dynasty C&D'd "FEAR THE BEARD".

Can the fat orca be sent to collections for a fraudulent chargeback?

It would cost more than they lost from the chargeback.
... How much would it cost? Because I almost would be willing to kick them the funds to do so just to harm her credit.
Ah... Depends on the route the transaction was taken. The funds don't get moved and go to the bank if it's a claim with Visa or Mastercard before the claim is complete, I know that for absolute certain. That's not how its fought. Once a chargeback has occured, the company will be notified, they will than provide evidence to prove if a purchase was/was not legit. Usually these are incredibly hard to fight, however if you have someone who is exceptional enough to spew out on social media they commited a fraudulent chargeback... well never seen anyone that dumb till now honestly. After which the bank SHOULD than remove the funds from the customer account, return to the company and than the bank will decide what to do next. If they levee fees, close down the account, etc.
Yeah, but he's in bumfuck Minnesota, working out of a refurbished shipping container. He's probably doing alright for his area.
Small town lawyers are great. I highly recommend. They know everybody. They maybe could have been some big somethingorother in a big city but whyyyyy. You could just get a house out in the boonies and practice the legalese out there. If you are smart enough to be a one-stop lawsmith it works. Nick seems like that kind of off-the-beaten-path kind of guy. He was a banker or something like that before and went to law school in his late 20's or early 30's in a non-traditional kind of way. He chose that life. Not at all. It's fairly light. Obviously it depends on how involved the specific cases are, but for normal criminal defense it is not. If I had to defend against a criminal case myself, though, I'd rather have someone who didn't have a cookie cutter practice cranking out one case after another with the bare minimum of effort.
I got that vibe too. Somebody put a bug in their ear about the possible trademark infringement. Shit seemed like a form letter. Git 'em Rackets. Show 'em the what fer!So here's a thought that just occurred to me.
Lets assume someone did a gay op about the "Fear the Beard" thing. It seems logical. The Duck Commander guys have effectively surrendered the trademark already, and they mentioned someone "made them aware" of the use of it. The only real reason this would come up would be if someone looked up the term, found it was trademarked, and tried to cause shit.
Except... they went after Ty Beard, first.
What if this wasn't a Gay Op targeting Nick and his stream. What if this was a gay op by one of those exceptionals ... targeting Ty Beard. Trying to get him in trouble. He just forwarded it onto Nick after they reached out to him.
Man, I hope Nick can have a nice polite discussion with that law firm about who, exactly, "made them aware" of it.
Didnt watch the stream and now Im about to clock in. What is Ren being sued for?

Waiting for Kamehacon to join theA metric fuckload of defamation, and not only by Vic, but possibly by TUG, as well as her targets during comicsgate.
I'd be inclined to think it's someone attached to or aware of the Believe Bulma account that people reported to Toei or that Short Round sent a C&D to that wanted to hit back in similar fashion.
