Late but i looked into it the small local movie theater and the closest cinema i go to aren't doing that (i can't speak for more cucked parts of Canada but i don't expect Captain Marvel to be pushed as much)Just checked my local cinemas and they have the same thing - nothing but Captain Marvel from the Friday, and over the weekend. That's, uh, unusual.
Not usually one to jump on conspiracy theories but that's a bloody consistent scheduling issue.
Edit: I looked the rest of the cinemas in and around the nearby big city, and while it isn't the only movie playing it's still pushed in a disgusting way with easily the most showings in the region over until Wednesday (i couldn't see further) with between 50 and 100 showings (and quite closer to 100 than 50) with the rest nowhere near that and the big cinemas showing it in Standard, 3d, 3D Avx, 3d Avx Dbox (what the fuck is dbox even) and regular Avx
Absolutely disgusting
You know you can head to Box Office Mojo and compare the number of screens Captain Marvel is on to other Disney films. That will help you confirm/disprove your suspicions.
Opening Weekend Screens
Captain Marvel: 4310
Infinity War: 4474
Ant-Man and the Wasp: 4206
Black Panther: 4020
Solo: A Star Wars Story: 4381
Star Wars: The Force Awakens: 4134
The amount of screens devoted to Captain Marvel isn't out of the ordinary compared to other Disney films released over the last few years.
People keep mentioning the 90s song, can you list some of them? I'm curious. One major example of hypocrisy I'm seeing with the response to this movie ...
When Suicide Squad played "obvious" and "too on-the-nose" songs throughout the movie: "Worst movie ever!"
When Captain Marvel has song choices that are just as obvious as Suicide Squad's: "I love 90's music! Yeah! This soundtrack is bangin'!"

To bad they didn't have the best 90's song in this movie. It could have made Brie Larson actually emote something other than wood!![]()
Every Single '90s Song & Reference In "Captain Marvel"
"Captain Marvel" is so '90s that it might actually take you more than one viewing to catch all these nods to the era of dial-up internet and Nirvana.www.refinery29.com
“Whatta Man” by Salt-N-Pepa plays when the first security guard Carol encounters is sitting at the Blockbuster and listening to this in his car.
“Only Happy When it Rains” by Garbage plays while Carol heads out on her (stolen) motorcycle into the dessert.
“Waterfalls” by TLC plays on the radio as Carol and Fury drive to the Pegasus base.
“Gotta Be” by Des'ree is on at Maria and Monica's a when Carol and Fury show up.
“Come As You Are” by Nirvana plays during Carol's last encounter with the Supreme Intelligence, and Mar-Vell (Annette Bening) dances to the song. Iconic.
“Just A Girl” by No Doubt scores the final fight scene on Mar-Vell’s ship and it is legendary.
“Man on the Moon” by R.E.M., which is quite fitting after Carol literally flew threw space and split Ronan's ship in half, plays while Carol, Fury, Monica, Talos, and everyone else are eating dinner.
“Celebrity Skin” by Hole is the first end credit song and a fitting send-off for Captain Marvel's first outing.

Why do they always look constipated? It's like a variation of fish hook mouth.

Then they could’ve set it in the 2000s and played Basement Jaxx songs
HAHA FUCK U MENAlso, pet peeve: Only Disney would have their protagonist wear a Nine Inch Nails t-shirt, and then call the look "grunge." You can't get any more "normie" than that. lol. God damn.
Yeah I see what people mean now, not a great list.![]()

nostalgiaSpeaking of the '90s stuff, I still don't understand why they bothered to set it during that period.
nostalgia
that's it
people eat shit up because MEMBER DUH 90s
the only thing worse than MEMBER DUH 90s is MEMBER DUH 80s
just the nostalgia masturbation alone makes me give this movie a hard pass
