Apparently more blogs and media outlets are reporting things about the "2 different cuts of Endgame" rumors, and also about the rumors of the Avengers cast resenting what Feige is doing with his Brie Larson push.

The more I hear about it, the more I am believing it, to be honest.

Yeah of course they do this. It's a cliche. But I bet that little girl isn't even old enough to watch the film, because aren't all marvel's 12 ratings for swearing and violence?

Also, I think our fears may have been confirmed: Captain Marvel is really trying to be seen on as many screens as possible.

Spreading yourself way thin is totally a viable strategy which worked for BvS

Will it have a higher second weekend drop than BvS? ?

CapM says they have her this time.
She probably will have similar line that Superman said when he rejoined the fight against Steppenwolf ("This guy still bothering you?") only it will sound more condensing and cringy.

Remember when you weren't a sexist/racist asshole because you didn't want to see a movie? We should go back to those times
Seeing these articles make me want to root for the film to bomb just to laugh at the people who wrote them.

That's... a questionable take from reading this particular piece. She decries fan-gate hashtags sure, but the article is more about her distaste for cynical woke-marketing.

That is sure one hell of a clickbait.

I just read some spoilers over at Reddit for endgame. Take this with a grain of salt, I just searched for Captain Marvel, wanting to know her involvement. I didn't read anything else, just her introduction. When I saw this I just bust out laughing

Banner finished analyzing his scans of Marvel and speaks with Tony. He tells him that Captain Marvel is almost a perfect replica of an infinity stone herself

If this is real, this is the worst sort of fan-fic Mary Sue garbage I've read. It had me laughing. If they go with this it will be the fucking worst shit ever. Looks like Disney wants to drown the MCU.
So I just read some of the leaks for Endgame.

So Captain Marvel gives off the signature of an Infinity Stone and the Avengers are able to duplicate the Infinity stones using her as a basis?

If that's true...dear sweet Jesus.
MCU Captain Marvel/Disney Star Wars Rey crossover when?

I still love how DCEU Superman made an absolute joke out of DCEU Steppenwolf.

DCEU Superman reminds me of how much I wish the inaccurate normie meme of "lol why does Superman need the Justice League? He's 10 billion times stronger than anyone!" would go away alongside others like "lol Aquaman is a lame character and a joke to everyone else" or "lol everyone sucks except Batman. He's smarter than everyone put together and so badass". They're usually thinking about the character in a vacuum or from word of mouth instead of realizing he's in an universe full of people like himself and is ironically arguably on the lower end for the JLA.

I'd be a rich man if I had a nickel for every time someone, even professional writers, buy into the meme and shoot themselves in the foot.

From what I know of Thanos in the comics once has the full IG, he's unstoppable. They threw everything they had at him when he was trying to get in Death's pants including actual Gods and other giant space monsters like Galactus and it still didn't make a difference. They were only able to finally beat him because deep down he realized he was being a giant dick and eventually undid everything and went back to being a space farmer again.

Ca-Poochie Marvel
Imagine if they did the complete opposite. Like after all the shit surrounding the release of CM and all the rumors that she's going to be an integral part of defeating Thanos if instead what actually happens is if after all of her "pfft Thanos aint shit" posturing at the start she just dies immediately and is gone for the rest of the movie until everyone is brought back. Or make it so that she is the key to beating him but because it's only after killing her that he realizes what he's doing. There are some fun fake-outs they could do and the freakout from the rabid CM stans enraged that she wasn't the giant Mary Sue they thought she would be in it would be fantastic.

Unfortunately what we're probably going to get is he's going to get beat like he did against the small team on that planet only this time Quill isn't there to fuck it up and CM is going to play an integral part of it because grllllllllllll powwwwwrrrrrrrr

They could always banish her to the hulk realm where she isnt allowed to have another movie and just is a secondary character that appears sometimes

Just walked out of the film, I liked it more than I disliked it. Of course I also kinda liked Justice League and Last Jedi despite their flaws so what the fuck do I actually know about good film making. Really I just need a good crowd to see these movies with to be satisifed.

I watched it today too. It’s one of these movies that normies really love. I’m a cynical bitch so I got bored in the first twenty minutes. Not even Jude Law or that green funny alien could save me from that bad Marvel movie.
Why can’t we go back to Avengers (2012)?

Caught a 7pm showing with friends, liked it though like guy above me I really liked all the DC shit too so take my opinions for what they're worth. Shooting off thoughts as I recall them, AMA if you're curious about shit I don't mention.

- the "tear jerking" Stan Lee tribute is literally fucking nothing, and I groaned after seeing it and realizing motherfuckers said they "cried" upon seeing it. It's pictures of him as the logo runs.

- The beginning was fine, and I have no idea what people are talking about when they say it "takes a while to get going" or "starts off weird", it plops you right into action which I liked

- Larsons "bad acting" is a deliberate thing to try and harp on the "brainwashing" shit as opposed to her being a shit actress, however because she is "brainwashed" throughout most of the movie, that is her delivery throughout almost every scene with her doing anything besides bantering with Sam Jackson

- the stuff with just the two of them is really good and takes up a decent amount of time, not nearly enough

- I can only liken "Brainwashed Carol" to Ashly Burch doing a John Cena promo

- way more Thor 1 than Captain America, which was probably to be expected ebcause of the space themes but still

- the 90's shit gets tiring after a while, they don't overdo it but at a point the novelty loses all charm. Except the scene with Nirvana which I loved.

- she is not OP at all and I have no idea where the fuck the idea that "she'll beat Thanos!" is coming from, she at the absolute best is first movie Thor-tier
and only modestly beats up a team of grunts. At the end she smacks up a bunch of space ships, but it's not done over-the-top, she literally just flies through the fuckers. Nothing major. She's more or less Iron Man at his peak, with the suit being made out of her, that's it

- A lot of the humor is too Joss Whedon era "quirky" and way too much of it really soured it at times when I was getting into it

- the "girl power!" shit is, again, overblown. A montage of her falling down "doing boys stuff", a joke about cockpits which I laughed at, one cringe-inducing scene where a biker says "Smile, baby!" but is over as soon as it starts, and the end when she's getting up during her, to make the comparison again, John Cena NEVER GIVE UP! power-up scene heavily implies, but does not actually say, 'Grls are stonk too guis!'. Noticible what they were going for, but could have been way worse.

That's all I can remember. I'd compare it to a slightly less good Aquaman? The bones of it are as good as any Marvel movie, but a ton of the humor falls flat on its face and after Russo Brothers and Taika Waititi doing humor properly, to go back to "quirky" jokes as often as they do is an undeniable step backwards that I can't ignore.

I give it 2 and a half Bugman Smiles, leaning more towards 3 but that humor just missed way too often at a time when Marvel had been hitting a certain style out of the park. Like Age of Ultron.
