That depends. He'll stay away only until this topic achieves a certain level of activity, one that makes him conclude that the topic would persist indefinitely without him. The level is determined by him, but it's fairly low if I assume it's not influenced by a prior activity. When the original CHYOO got hit hard by...something, only four or five people mentioning him was deemed enough activity for him to return and say "I was gone for days, & you all still decided to make this topic about me!" However, at the time there were only seven or eight people who counter-trolled him, so this number can be seen as half as much related activity during his absence. Therefore, if prior levels are a factor, then we'll need to keep the topic lively - my reason for linking to an old post.
Well, if that old post wasn't enough, allow me to throw more into the ring.
Prior to 2010, TJChurch only had two usernames on CHYOO, and he left one untouched, implying it was a second registration before he learned LitErotica accounts were valid on CHYOO and vice versa. While he wasn't well liked, he was tolerated by most users. However, in 2010, a discussion was sparked over his ability as a writer when he was reviewed poorly and he expressed his desire to return the favor to these users. Most of the community "turned on him" when it was revealed most people agreed with the comments, citing his use improper use of numerals and ampersands as well as his extraneous commas with quotation marks as evidence of his power ability. One such user was the active site moderator (not me, I only have power on the forums), though he later claimed to have been scaling it back to be nice, and TJChurch elected to use his two accounts to maliciously rate the moderator's work with the lowest rating, even going so far as to include feedback that made both his identity and motive clear as crystal. The moderator's response was unrestrained criticisms of TJChurch, encompassing his writing, ego, and more. He punctuated this by banning TJChurch, thereby initiating the long line of re-registrations. After he was banished, he insisted that he had been hacked and the hacker was the cause of all those errors and comments. The person he accuses has changed repeatedly, which led him to claim it's a conspiracy against him. However, the one claim that doesn't change is his insistence that the accused - regardless of indicted user - learned his home address and made threats on his life, apparently frightening him and his family enough to move, though only to a different part of the county. Oddly, this has not changed many of his habits. While the previous problems in his writing have been removed - his way of trying to skate by us - he continues to post without concern of cyber safety.
In the interest of painting a picture, I'll bring up my incident. I was accused of being the hacker, but my threat was much more than words on a screen. According to TJChurch, I found out he was diagnosed as a diabetic and sent him a package containing a box of chocolates, a loaded handgun, and a card that said "Pick one" signed by my username. Yet this threat seems to have been dismissed, as I've spent no time in custody.
Discuss.
