Another Universe inclusion update: It has been confirmed that Giftpia, And-Kensaku, Boxboy, Marvelous: Mouhitotsu no Takarajima, Make 10: A Journey of Numbers, and Tank Troopers are represented in Smash 4 as universes. Assuming the earlier leaked music list is correct, the final universe count currently stands at such:
- There 42 primary universes counting those from past games and introduced in this one (barring Subspace and Special Stages) that are represented and this number could grow with the addition of more DLC
- There are, assuming the Datamined music list is correct as all music has yet to be identified, 36 universes represented that are or used to be secondary universes (some of them are no longer secondary universes), with only GoldenEye and Perfect Dark missing representation
- All Namco based music from Smash 4 has returned, along with Namco Roulette, which is back as Pac Man's taunt and with its return comes all universes it represented including Xevious, Dig Dug, and the minor Namco Universes (now with the new additions of Katamari Damacy and Tekken), bringing Namco's Minor Universe representation (discounting for Xevious and Dig Dug for being former secondary universes and thus counted above) to 21, leaving only the "Tales of" series unrepresented as of now due to Lloyd Irving not returning as a Mii Costume and no other representation confirmed as of yet
- As for the minor universes, the only missing universes from previous games (assuming the data mined music list is correct) are bit Generations, BIT.TRIP, Doshin the Giant, English Training, Flower Town, Thru, and Warrior's Way. That brings the minor universe count to 87, as of this post.
This brings total universe/series representation in Ultimate to a whopping 186 confirmed universes, and this number may very well continue to grow.
