Honestly, I worry that if he has a good enough lawyer, he'll get away entirely. I don't think there's indisputable proof he did anything with the dogs.Early prediction: Kero will plea guilty to a slightly lesser charge. The prosecutors won't give him a lot of mercy, but they probably have too many cases with human victims on their agenda to devote as much time and money into prosecuting Kero as he deserves.
Don't get me wrong, we certainly have enough proof to convince anyone in a social context. But by the justice system's standards? There's nothing in the video uniquely tying him to it. There's no clear shot of his face. There's like a blurry shot of his jacket and a dog that looks like Koda.
They don't have a chain of possession of the video leading to his phone or anything.
His lawyer might legit say "tie my client to anything in that video or fuck off" and I think it's got a solid chance of working.
