Diablo hasn't felt like Diablo in a long, long time. It had a distinctly low-tech, gothic wasteland feel that has been completely lost.
it's sad how in this day and age
wanting a good product is considered "entitlement"
remember 100 years ago when ice cream had paint and lead and shit, and people were like "no thanks, i don't want that shit in my ice cream" and journalists were like "REEEE ENTITLEMENT.. ICE CREAM EATERS ARE RUSSIAN WHITE MALE DRUMPF BOTS!!!"
i remember when i was a wee lad, when companies messed up it was "back to the drawing board" and "we messed up, let's fix this" and "we're dropping this like a hot rock"I remember a time before the internet where the big names vented in private when they fuckup, and they hired spin doctors to diffuse the situation before they got out of hand. Now they and their PR people are both getting mad on the internet for the whole world to see, rather than putting up a facade that they were learning, improving, and give a shit about the consumers.
now it's "REEEE, UR WRONG BUY THIS SHIT OR UR RACIST AND SOGGY KNEEEEEEEEEEEEEESS" and swarms of reporters swoop in REEEEEing all the way
If you haven't you should look into Grim Dawn.Welp, back to Torchlight.

I'm still trying to understand why they still have marketing departments when all they gotta do is show what they got and the ease of doing so in this, the year of our Lord, anno domini 2018 couldn't be more simple. Just set up a youtube account, pick a group of testers and have them play the game as you talk about features.I'm genuinly begining to suspect they should just fire pretty much everyone involved and replace them with call centre employee's. After they pretend to be happy to speak to you at greater length for far less cash.
i don't like AIDS

And that goes for all of you.
I agree about your assessment of Fates. Somewhat with Granblue Fantasy. It has a pretty high rate of female players too. They get husbando princes and shit. It's just a fun rpg that has a pretty good story mode, good ost and with tons of crossover events. (I missed the chance to get SF Ryu, P5 Joker and Case Closed detective Conan) there's also crossover side stories, with the Tales series and Idolmaster M (the guy idols) Waifus are a good bonus tho.how is mobile gaming "heavily associated with a female audience"?
most of the top selling mobile games are japanese gacha games filled with lewd anime waifus, like fate grand order and granblue fantasy. i'm pretty sure the audience for these games consists of horny spergs, not women.
I'm showing my age, but I miss what Diablo 1 was - simple. No real concept of metaplot or anything. You were an adventurer, come to a town that had a slight "Hell is invading" problem. Was there a world outside Tristram? Probably, but that wasn't important. You had everything you needed right there - a village, some quest givers and merchants, and a bigass dungeon.
