W00ps, I've put the following in the wrong thread. Here we go, all fixed.
Something about the 4kTVPS4Pro-Saga felt kinda odd lately. I guess this happens most of the time when a topic stays for a while, it creates space to think at least twice -- and have to look it up. First of, I don't really understand the 'Freudian Slip' about the 4kTV-order, unless I totally missunderstand the slip. Sure, he not only stutters, but this was one of the worst spoken english sentences, so what I could filter was:
Phil says someone gifted him money to buy the TV. This is also confirmed in his
first announcement, as he says
"someone donated enough funds to get a new TV". He also says he don't want to
"order it again", which could mean 2 things: He ordered it (he got "the funds", so no surprise) or he doesn't want to have the TV again because he already has it. Both meanings are fine.
I'm still struggling with his explanation why the TV is in his cart again (which should be gone after the purchase).
He explains:
To give the donator the stats of his TV.
Let me start this way: The thing with Phil (and tbh a very lotta people) they don't necessarily speak organized, coordinated, with specific purposes. He's not a trained speaker, he's not an anime overlord, he's horrible at compiling words to sentences together,
you know what I mean. He often misses to give specific informations to understand his intention, purposefully or not. In his head he knows what he means, but he doesn't give a crap if anything else does (and he is not obliged to give full explanations 24/7 just cuz he's under the eyes of deetraktoars, who does that? Nobody.). I'm sure he often has malicious intends to enrich himself, which doesn't mean every word he speaks has an intend. Especially not in the case of Dave "blabbermouth" Burnett.
So I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume the following happened:
After purchasing the TV he put it back in his cart, so he hasn't have to search for it again later. He did that to confirm to his donator which TV he bought, or maybe the donator asked for the stats. Maybe the donator doesn't give a crap but Phil just wants to make the ball round and sent it to him anyway, because business reasons. I dunno, can happen, it's an explanation to me.
Of course, the existence of these 2 people who donated the equipment stays questionable.
So have I missunderstood the very obvious slip?
