If Phil doesn't play as Sagat, this will end really badly for everyone involved.

Looks like he's sticking with Akuma for the night, but we'll see. And tbh, Tut (imo) is clearly some fan willing to throw even more money than usual at Phil. The big question for me is whether or not it'll drive other whales, like Swagginz, austmink, and LordLamb, away.

looks like either Tut reversed the tips or paypal figured out it was a stolen card.

tutankhamunn "attempted a payment reversal" on his Paypal donation right at the end of Phil's steam, identifying the transaction as "the authorization was illegitimate".

Phil "has no idea why". I saw him playing Akuma. Does anyone know if he played Sagat like tutankhamunnn asked him to in exchange for the today's money?

(Sorry the screenshots aren't imbedded. I'm not on my PC)

(Super ninja'd  )

Man, fuck this guy. I'm not going to spoil the end-month roundup too much, but even if he loses every cent of that $450, he's still at approximately $7000 for the month (between cheers, subs, and tips), just on Twitch. Even if the cheers from Tut were somehow reversed (and I honestly don't know if that's even possible), he's still at around $5000 for the month.

Leave it to Phil to gain over 2 grand, then cry when he doesn't get an extra 500 (Or, at least, the 500 is at risk).

New TV, new game system, nothing that benefits the fans, huge donations. Cries about trolls.

Dave could win the lottery and he'd cry about stubbing his toe. While explaining how any tips, subs, or cheers go to the taxes on the lottery money. Cause nobody told him that winning the lottery is taxable.

I dont know, just thinking loud... What are the chances tut is not a troll but a fan? If he planned to reverse all the tips and cheers, why he did 52523213x cheers a few days ago? I dunno... might be an actual fan but his or her parents found out and now they want it back.

To get as much as attention as possible, building up the crescendo of excitement for Phil...until he ripped it all away. With that said, I still don't know that you can "reverse" a cheer, so you're right that that part doesn't make much sense. As such, your theory about the illicit (but not stolen, exactly) card use could be right.

if you so much as give phil the smallest slight then you never really were a true and AHNEST fan but a dirty detractor in disguise all along and phil saw through your disguise but took your money anyway.
you're either with him, or against him 100%

tbh, if phil won the lottery he would spend it all on a house and car he couldn't afford in a week and have to uberbeg for MUH 10 MILLION DOLLAR MANSION DOOD

I love how he went straight to, "Guy is a troll, piece of shit tried to get his money back." If the guy is legit and something came up then Phil will look like a jackass yet again.

"Maybe the guy had some bills to pay and needed that money back. I totally get it." Boom, nobody could get pissed at Phil for saying that, even if he was full of shit while saying it, it would be so much better than what he is doing now. The only thing Phil may get out of this is Swaggins catching a boner and throwing money at him to reclaim his spot as Alpha Whale.

I don't think he was a troll, or even necessarily a "fan". Just someone with more money than he knows what to do with (still not a water-tight theory, though). Until proven wrong, I'm sticking with the assumption that Cheers can't be charged back. I guessing that tutankhamunnn resented Amazon messing with his money, which is why he switched to Paypal after Bits.

I think his mistake was giving Phil the money even though Phil didn't fulfil his end of the bargain right away. Phil, believing tutankhamunnn no longer cared about him playing as Sagat, dropped it completely, leading to tutankhamunnn seeking a refund for Phil's negligence.

This will be the second time someone extravagantly wealthy and frivolous dropped into Phil's lap and he lost it all at once by doing something stupid. @Cherie Bomb and @BSV tell the story in BSV's thread (sorry, I don't think you can directly quote from threads that have been closed).

BSV: "He got advice, it was good he banned him from his chat. Thinking he was a troll. "Behind the scenes" as phil likes to put it. Someone found out who it was. They where friendly with him. And phil shot himself in the foot not showing any respect to him. It is his biggest blunder ever. If phil had played his cards right he would have laughed at everyone. I am sure that guy would have made a fool of every detractor that ever existed. Just because he could. But Phil don't take advice. He is such a mindblowing Narcissist, that he deserves walking the streets of Connecticut as a bum talking to himself. Jibbering on about how awesome he was at evo super buggy turbo tournament."

Cherie Bomb: "I think I know who it is. Since Anony leaked the story on a Discord server BSV was already kicked from, BSV doesn't have to worry about being associated. Vidar is a gud boi who sticks to his principles always.

There was a recent discussion in the main thread about some leaked screencaps of Anony talking about a donor with major potential on the new DSP fan Discord.

Anony said the donor who wanted to help improve Phil's financial standing was a rich Saudi Arabian man. Anony allegedly reached out to the man, who said he was willing to give Phil $20,000. The man expressed his willingness to help Phil in an email after donating an initial few hundred dollars. Phil blocked the man, assuming he was a troll, and lost the chance to be able to immediately pay off a heavy chunk of his debt and #SaveTheHouse."

According to the story, Phil had already received a couple hundred dollars before turning on the donor, believing it was a troll. Much like tutankhamunn now, giving a huge amount of bits and then reversing his Paypal transactions after Phil declined to play as a character in Street Fighter V.

Phil should just do a character auction for SFV since people want to pay him to play a character. He could even rig the event and make it so that Akuma wins regardless.

W00ps, I've put the following in the wrong thread. Here we go, all fixed.

Something about the 4kTVPS4Pro-Saga felt kinda odd lately. I guess this happens most of the time when a topic stays for a while, it creates space to think at least twice -- and have to look it up. First of, I don't really understand the 'Freudian Slip' about the 4kTV-order, unless I totally missunderstand the slip. Sure, he not only stutters, but this was one of the worst spoken english sentences, so what I could filter was: Phil says someone gifted him money to buy the TV. This is also confirmed in his first announcement, as he says "someone donated enough funds to get a new TV". He also says he don't want to "order it again", which could mean 2 things: He ordered it (he got "the funds", so no surprise) or he doesn't want to have the TV again because he already has it. Both meanings are fine.

I'm still struggling with his explanation why the TV is in his cart again (which should be gone after the purchase).
He explains: To give the donator the stats of his TV.
Let me start this way: The thing with Phil (and tbh a very lotta people) they don't necessarily speak organized, coordinated, with specific purposes. He's not a trained speaker, he's not an anime overlord, he's horrible at compiling words to sentences together, you know what I mean. He often misses to give specific informations to understand his intention, purposefully or not. In his head he knows what he means, but he doesn't give a crap if anything else does (and he is not obliged to give full explanations 24/7 just cuz he's under the eyes of deetraktoars, who does that? Nobody.). I'm sure he often has malicious intends to enrich himself, which doesn't mean every word he speaks has an intend. Especially not in the case of Dave "blabbermouth" Burnett.

So I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume the following happened:
After purchasing the TV he put it back in his cart, so he hasn't have to search for it again later. He did that to confirm to his donator which TV he bought, or maybe the donator asked for the stats. Maybe the donator doesn't give a crap but Phil just wants to make the ball round and sent it to him anyway, because business reasons. I dunno, can happen, it's an explanation to me.

Of course, the existence of these 2 people who donated the equipment stays questionable.

So have I missunderstood the very obvious slip?

The Freudian slip came when he said "I am basically the person who donated the money to get the TV". This slip indicates that there was in fact no external donation and that he's lying, as per usual, that he has no disposable income. Phil wanted something, so after months of begging his fans to get it for him (since remember, he has no disposable income), he bit the bullet and purchased it for himself.

This is further evidenced by the fact that he said "When someone pays me in full specifically for something, not 5 or 10 dollars here and there, I will purchase that thing. In this case the guy gave me the donation explicitly to buy this TV." When has Phil done this before? The answer is never. There are multiple documented instances wherein Phil received 60 dollars to purchase a particular game, and he would accept the tip but outright say that he was not going to purchase said game because he had "bills to pay", ostensibly stealing the money from his fan. I can think of three instances in the past 18 months alone where this occurred.

Phil is not the King of Hate, he is the king of "Do one thing, say another, get caught, MUH DETRACTORS."
