So are any of you weebs watching any currently airing/Fall anime or am I embarrassing myself by asking?

I finished Tokyo Ghoul a while ago and just saw the first episode of Parasyte: The Maxim. So are any of you weebs watching any currently airing/Fall anime or am I embarrassing myself by asking?
Be prepared. Some of my friends have been constantly pestering me to watch K-ON!
Finally told them I'd watch it when I was done watching every anime I wanted to watch first. Which, with me watching like two or three episodes of one show like every two or three days and I want to watch like 9 shows, I'll probably watch K-ON! by this time next year.
I know how you feel, I've been there too. I don't know of any OVA's myself, as the market for that sort of thing dried up after Japan's bubble economy had burst. Too often studios either do movies or they expand an idea that could work as an OVA to 13 TV episodes or so and that's all they do.Has there been any good OVAs or movies lately that aren't just typical shoujo or shounen stuff? I made my way through the Hellsing OVAs and the Berserk movies, which were all terrific, as well as the Persona 4 anime and the first Persona 3 movie (because I'm a consumer whore), anything else kinda like it out there?
The reason I look for OVA's is I don't have the patience to watch hundreds of episodes of a show and I really can't stand fillers.
Yes, sad to say I'm viewing all of it. It's mostly mediocre to poor if that's any consolation. Of course I am enjoying Parasyte and digging the new Gundam Build Fighters series and Shirobako. So are any of you weebs watching any currently airing/Fall anime or am I embarrassing myself by asking?
90% of everything is shit. I honestly don't care for "otakubait" shows (lolis, pantsu~~~, titties galore), but there's a few I like this season.Yes, sad to say I'm viewing all of it. Beyond that, it's mostly a steaming pile of mediocrity.
To say nothing of it's hardcore fans. I'm a mech geek and there's nothing more frustrating than dealing with those.- Gurren Lagan. Good anime. Found it really annoying however
Thats actually how I wound up watching the series. I really enjoyed Deathnote and Attack on titan. Two animes my friend whos watched a shit ton more than me hated and said sucked. He said gurren lagan was much better and was his favorite anime of all time. So at times I felt like I might have enjoyed the series more if i went in cold. Because I came in pretty skeptical already. To say nothing of it's hardcore fans. I'm a mech geek and there's nothing more frustrating than dealing with those.
Once, I made a comment on a mecha youtube video. Some guys were discussing what the strongest mecha is and I entered into it by saying Getter Emperor. Thing is, I compared Getter Emperor to the spiral nemesis, which makes sense because TTGL was inspired by Getter.Thats actually how I wound up watching the series. I was really fucking done.
Suffice it to say, there was alot of arguing the day after I finished that series.

Then the fanboy came and started going on about how TTGL is the strongest evah and how Emperor is shit. I spent a couple of days arguing with this guy in the comments section, with a 500 character limit. Dude actually said I never watched Gurren Lagann as I was listing the limitations of the machine and the canon-strength of Emperor. Hell, at one time he said something to the effect of "gods aren't real, so Getter isn't real. TTGL wins."
Anyway, guy gets smacked down so much he quits and someone sets up a reply that told people to follow the chain and see an epic Gurren Lagann debate. I have never felt more like a geek.
It's things like that that do turn me off on anime.Lefty, what did you find annoying about Gurren Lagann? Just curious. I feel the same way about Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt; entertaining series, but some things just made me go "Alright guys, we get it."
