Honestly, who didn't see this coming? This is why I avoid meme games like the plague, when they get popular, it's suddenly not a meme anymore.

Also morons are going to pump well over $50K into it, that's no question. Just a question of if they'll run with the money, or, more likely, shit out the same game for zero cost.

The Creator is Christian so OP should have added "Pull a Hartman". But now I want to see Baldi's Basics in Theology and Divinity for some strange reason.

Quiz questions will be bible questions instead of math questions

For serious? Just like the FNAF guy? What is with Christians and shitting out garbage that kids eat up? Fuck I need to get me a bible.

$50,000 is steep for a game that seems like it won't have too many levels, but I'm actually more okay with this than I am with most videogame kickstarters. Baldi's Basics is fine for a Game Jam game made by one guy and at least the dev has proven that he can actually release something playable and fix bugs that are reported, unlike all the gaming kickstarters that have cool art and absolutely no proof of concept to back said cool art up.

Not something I'd give money to, but anyone who does back it will probably get what they want from it.

Call me crazy, but this looks harmless. Baldi's Basics hasn't reached the levels of FNAF when it comes to things like merchandising or side-materials. I don't see this guy turning Baldi's into the next horror franchise like Scott, just someone who wants to update his GameJam project into a full-fledged game.

To be honest, I did think the idea of the game was pretty funny the first time seeing it. What really bugs me though is that the game receives way more attention than it deserves, seeing how it’s nothing more than another simple Game Jam project, and it only became this popular due to let’s players, just like with every other trending game. With that in mind, the idea of this just sounds absurd and a bit much for such a simple game.

All you motherfuckers know this kickstarter's gonna surpass it's goal tenfold and probably get a movie and TV series deal along with it.

I miss the days of educational games you were actually interested in playing, even if it was just to shoot buffalo or laser space garbage.

This is going to be just like FNAF: the creator is an actual nice guy who will milk the cash cow for all it's worth while it's still not dry. This is most likely going to be released.
