I don't understand what it is with these yahoos taking a classic cartoon that most everyone would love to see be revived in a serious manner and then turning it into a comedy with cutsey animation that does not fit it in the slightest. I didn't even really watch Thundercats back in the day and I know that this is really diverging from the tone and look of the original. You don't have to make an exact copy of the original but if you want to bring in nostalgic manchildren as well as the kiddos, you have to recognize the look and feel of what you're taking your product from.

They don't want that, though. It's probably some shitty woke garbage and they actually want to offend fans of the original and start some dumb culture war about troons or some shit.

Also Cartoon Network reeking of desperation to find another adventuretime/Steven Universe hit by finding the shittiest artists they can and hiring them as cheaply as they can.

The cheapness is what it comes down to. This shitty art style is stupidly easy to draw, takes little effort to rig up for computer animation, and can play off it's shittiness as "Stylistic".

After the initial asset creation, they'll go the Teen Titans Go/Adventure Time route of endlessly recycling the same few backgrounds and using the same computer-generated poses/animation over and over again.

It's the in house Cartoon Network style. Round geometric designs so it appears friendly to kids. More like Thundercucks if you ask me.

oh silly me I almost forgot the big round emotionless eyes!

I can just taste the 70 episodes.

I must honestly ask, why do all the fucking animators have to come from CalArts? Is the animation union so tight fisted that we have a limited pool of talent to choose from or are they the chucklefuck mercenaries that will work so cheap that they are pricing out all the possible talent.

Between the Ben 10 reboot and this, the CalArts inhouse style that Warner use is the death of animation.

At least someone had enough sense to not use the artstyle for the Justice League cartoon.

The art style makes Lion-O look like a dwarf.

Would He-Man and GI Joe also be safe from this calarts madness?
Granted, GI Joe has been fucked with in the comic book sense when IDW let that one socialist guy write it.

No seriously someone tell me what the fuck CalArts is and why it's the harbinger of the animation apocalypse.

It’s a school that teaches you the basics of animation that a lot of people who work in animation went to when they were learning the craft.

No, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re going to produce something that looks like everything on Cartoon Network these days. A couple of the people who have shows on CN these days didn’t go there but they still work in that same style.

Anyway - I share many of the frustrations about reboots and how companies are doing this shit for cheap but for Christ’s sake, calm the fuck down about this. It did not invade your house and kill your family. It’s just a dumb kids’ show. The original is still there and nothing can soil it.

Please leave my 80’s nostalgia cartoons alone, thanks. It looks almost as bad as the Jem reboot. Christ.

It's gonna be so bad. But Tumblr will love it and everyone is probably picking their kintypes out right now and making Lion-O a grey ace transboy with top surgery scars.

nigger save your hate. Warner Bros merely goes with whats cheapest, and what they think is in vogue right now. Blame steven universe and its swarms of screeching fans for their horribly low standards infecting the rest of the industry

The fact that this era is known for cheap, ugly cartoons only revered by teens on Tumblr with self diagnosed mental illnesses breaks my heart.:(

Here is the video Diversity & Comic guy posted about this,

This rant is some of the dumbest pig shit I've ever heard. Anybody with cursory knowledge of spree shooters will tell you that most of them do it out of a sense of unfulfilled superiority or they're copying another spree shooter, such as Tranny Stair, Pugly, Couch Cuck or even our most recent example of today. It's really ironic that he's describing spree shooters as soy boys without role models to look up to when all the above were trying to emulate Harris and Klebold. If there's any real life example of toxic masculinity, it would be spree shootings and the wannabes that follow.

Also, has he never heard of zero tolerance policies? You can't make physical contact with another student without getting in real trouble, even if they got physical with you first. This isn't the 80s, students cannot fight back anymore.
