DNC sues Russian government, Trump campaign, WikiLeaks alleging conspiracy to help Trump win election
By Avery Anapol - 04/20/18 11:10 AM EDT

The Democratic National Committee is suing the Russian government, the Trump campaign and WikiLeaks, alleging that the three entities conspired to help Trump win the election.

The Washington Post reported Friday that the DNC filed the multi-million dollar lawsuit in federal district court in Manhattan.

“During the 2016 presidential campaign, Russia launched an all-out assault on our democracy, and it found a willing and active partner in Donald Trump’s campaign,” DNC chair Tom Perez said in a statement.

“This constituted an act of unprecedented treachery: the campaign of a nominee for President of the United States in league with a hostile foreign power to bolster its own chance to win the presidency."

The DNC is seeking millions of dollars in damages related to the hacked DNC emails that WikiLeaks published during the campaign, according to the Post.

The lawsuit alleges that hacking and publishing the DNC emails was part of a larger conspiracy to damage Clinton’s campaign and help Trump win the election.

The suit names as defendants several Trump campaign aides who met with Russian nationals during the campaign, including campaign chair Paul Manafort and Trump campaign deputy Rick Gates, both of whom have since been charged in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling.

The DNC lawsuit also names Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., son-in-law and White House adviser Jared Kushner and on-and-off Trump confidante Roger Stone.

The suit comes months after Mueller indicted 13 Russian nationals and three Russian groups in his investigation on charges related to interference in the election.

The GOP-led House Intelligence Committee, one of several congressional committees also investigating possible collusion, shut down its investigation earlier this year, asserting that they found no evidence of collusion. Democrats on the committee blasted the panel’s decision to end the probe.

Trump himself has repeatedly dismissed the investigation into Russian meddling as a “hoax” and “witch hunt,” and has maintained that there was “no collusion” between his campaign and Russia.

This feels like a parody.
For fucks sake, everyone calls right wingers nutjobs?
Alex Jones is a fraud and nuttier than squirrel poo and even he would not try to sue the government for hurt feelings.

The DNC is now self-diagnosed with autism. Expect them to cope themselves with Sonic, browsing on Deviantart, and train videos.

Well, Hillary was already all over how we should Pokemon Go to the election booths.

They want to scream "Oh, Russia! Russia's involved! And WikiLeaks is conspirin' against us! Ohhh, corruption! Corruption is the reason that we lost and not those emails!" When they rigged the votes to fuck over Bernie and his supporters to help Clinton win the nomination.
And the thing is, them doing this, and their attitude towards Bernie supporters after they got their way, is a big part of why they lost. At least, among younger, class-focused voters.

This entire thing is literally is an Onion joke; "DNC uses last of it's money in a frivolous suit" but it's real. Hell, they're begging the voters to fund this shit (which starts at 25 bucks a pop for those who ain't registered with the Dems and are curious) given their budget right now!

And it basically opens them to getting sued for rigging the GOP and their own fucking primaries by their own retarded logic. I genuinely am curious to see what'll happen when the DNC is dead fucking broke after this bad idea. I've never seen a party troll itself to death like this outside of the fringe.

The FBI could still provoke the DNC's ire as a political body, though. I know it's tradionally been that the current President swaps in his own guy as the head of the CIA, so I assume it's like that with the FBI (the outed guy under Trump was a Republican, right?). WikiLeaks are the 'freedom of information', 'democracy now' type of people, from what I gather. As the spontaneous voice of freedom, so to speak, they re official unaligned while being right up the Left wings alley.

Does WikiLeaks have an offical organ to voice an opinion on this?
That's why this whole thing is bonkers. Comey was investigating both sides, pissed trump off for not being on the trump train and replaces him with Mueller, who proceeds to keep investigating trump. So now the FBI is in this weird Custers Last Stand thing where they have no inherent devotion to either side because BOTH sides are trying to marginalize them. And their like on their own. And it's entirely possible that they uncover criminal shit on BOTH sides. And literally bring the system down. It's really fucking bizarre.

I never understood this Russia angle. The Cold War has been over for almost 30 years, Russia has shat its pants and done nothing since, coasting on their oil money, and Donald Trump has never cooperated with them, to the point that he's gotten in their faces and bombed their puppet states. The only way this could be more retarded is if they said that Trump was a puppet of North Korea.
All I can figure is there must be serious political tension growing between the U.S. and the Russian governments, tension that the voters aren't aware of. (Why? Maybe it's not a tension you can sell as moral to voters, like international conflicts over natural gas pipelines. But that's speculation...) So the DNC decided what the hell, let's use this opportunity to turn the public against the Russians since that's we in Washington are doing anyway.

It's not as if the "muh Russia" narrative was the first sign of this tension, though none of it has really "stuck" for the American people. Remember Victoria Nuland's "fuck the EU" leaked phone conversation? (Only the Russians really could have been in a position to intercept and release that.) Remember Sochi? All around the 2014 Olympics there were anti-Russia stories that always felt, to me, like the government trying to establish an anti-Russia narrative. ("Russia is hacking the phones of foreigners visiting for the Olympics!" "Russia is mass killing stray doggos to clean up the streets of Sochi for the games!") It didn't work outside of a few whining journalists who claim to have been targeted by Putin's government.

Hell, maybe there was a cynical calculus done by the people who decided on the narrative post-loss. "Blaming North Korea kind of worked for the Sony hack, as silly as that was, but the voters know they aren't a threatening, global superpower. Who's the biggest and most credible 'threat' we can use as an enemy of the country, a target that certainly won't end up going to war with us?" Is that possible? I don't know.

When the fuck is the whole Trump Russia narrative finally going to die off?
Honestly? I think they're going to write it into the history books as the official version of the truth. What's the overwhelming political alignment of the people who write history books? How impartially skeptical do you think their anti-Trumpism will allow them to be?

Dude, they're even going after the FBI, whose currently knuckle deep in going after trump. They have no fucking clue on what their own agenda is. They're acting like autistic brats that didn't get to play with their favorite toy, so they're going to break ALL the toys.
Even hot-takes with democratic pundits are like "uuummm.. I don't really know.. What they're doing.. Sooo I guess we'll wait and see?."

It gets better. This suit will force discovery on everything that the FBI has been keeping buried for 2-3 years. It will force examination and under oath testimony regarding the DNC's servers that the FBI was never allowed to examine. It will allow litigants to put the Dems under oath regarding the validity of the leaked e-mails. Defense discovery in a civil suit can be a powerful thing if you have a ton of stuff you really don't want anybody to know. This is beyond simply a party committing Suicide. This is a party suicide bombing any and all in close proximity to it.

I can only assume this is some hamfisted and idiotic attempt to keep some legal claim of "collusion" alive to feed to the press? (Which is probably a sign that that particular circus is going to soon be rolled up.) As a political or legal strategy it is like a 5 year old throwing a tantrum and screaming. It is mind blowing.

The tension with Russia is easily understandable. Putin is a mobster and an Oil and Petrofuel Oligarch. His wealth and power and that of his nation, following the fall of the Soviet Union was based on the scarcity of such fuels and the fact that he controlled an enormous amount of them. Then came Fraking and a US quietly determined to go energy independent. This drove oil prices to the lowest they had been in decades nearly bankrupting him, and fully bankrupting a numberof his client states. All of Russian's actions since then have been about disrupting the West in order to disrupt the oil glut. It's why he funds ALL the environmental groups. Why he funds BLM and Antifa. etc.

This might sound like a whimsical exaggeration, but, I can legitimately see the FBI just calling in a news conference any week now and saying: "All right, here's the deal, and here's the shit we've been working on. Hillary has been double tapping people in the head since 1988 and in 2002 Trump paid 6 million dollars to hunt a Russian prostitute named lubda for sport. This is all fucked and these people were never supposed to run for president.
Also, vampires are real and walk amongst us."

DNC with their Russia speculations,
Contesting Mr. Trump's occupation
When we see all their lame accusations
There'll be trouble in town tonight!

Am I being retarded here but Hillary, the DNC, everyone involved in this lies relentlessly. They lie in answer to every question they're asked and lie about lying when they get caught out. What's to stop them just telling more lies in court? It's not like that would be novel behaviour for a politician.

I'm starting to feel like the DNC no longer wants a democratic republic system of government and is a few steps away from openly advocating one party rule, as long as it's their party ruling.
Welcome to the ultra-liberal left, where you'll respect everyone's pronouns or we'll shoot you in the fucking balls.
For real, now. Look at Cuba minus the communism. That's what the DNC wants. For them to call themselves "progressive" they sure like to perpetrate their leaders until the bitter end.

No seriously, WHO are they suing? The Russian government as an organization? Putin? Because Putin IS Russia.
You can take matters to the international court in The Hague but not really because they aren't the UN version of Judge Judy.

The only way the cringe could get more delicious is if they then declare their intention to sue Gamergate for laying the foundations for trump to steal the election
So... the Wu Initiative.

All I can figure is there must be serious political tension growing between the U.S. and the Russian governments, tension that the voters aren't aware of.
Most likely. At first I thought it was a dick measuring contest like during the Cold War but it's getting more serious every day. Maybe it's control over the middle-east again.

Remember when Hillary won the DNC and it came out she helped rig it against Bernie?

She has no clue anymore does she

Was there not a lawsuit by some 9/11 survivors brought against Saudi Arabia, and on way fucking better ground and with evidence to back them up, that was dismissed because "you can't sue a country moron"?

So, what the fuck? Did they not pay a lawyer to make sure the court actually had jurisdiction?

EDIT: OH SHIT NO I'M OUT OF DATE YOU CAN SUE COUNTRIES NOW
