Because Russell Godfrey Greer is a worthless, entitled narcissist piece of shit who thinks not being able to fuck pop stars, high price working girls and Instagram models is comparable to being raped or harassed or abused and believes the entire world revolves around him and that sad pathetic existence he calls his life.

Hahaha, wait till he tells the lawyers he can Venmo them a dollar for their fees.

While I doubt he has spoken to any actual lawyer, any schmuck will entertain representing you until they discover you can’t cover their retainer fee, or even 5% of their retainer.

Lawyers in civil cases are hired guns, but you actually have to have real money to hire them. Hookers are dirt cheap compared to lawyers.

There are more attorneys than work in Nashville. This is an old figure, so it might have changed, but an ABA study once cited numbers suggesting they make an average of 40% less than people in comparable cities and practices. Cases like this are common fodder for stupid tort stories and not much else. He would have to make it worth a lawyer's time and the hit he or she would take in terms of good will. I don't see this moving forward at Chez Kefauver any time soon.

I don't think he got fired again, but that this was a rant about an older instance. I believe he now works for some sort of temp agency

I actually think it was a recent firing, since he posted not once but twice bitching about this 'Eric' guy who apparently fired him a couple days ago, as well as doing his usual 1-star review about the company solely based on the fact he was fired. So while he might still be working with that temp agency and might get another temp job shortly, he doesn't seem to be consistently employed at the moment. Which makes his threat to file a federal case against Taylor Swift and hire a lawyer all the more stupid and ridiculous than it already was.

@Barbarella it was nipplelesswonder who confirmed he is not nor has been on SSI because he is not "disabled enough". Seeing how she knows him IRL I'm gonna believe her.

Yup, it was recent, he just got fired by that Eric dude.

Rusty could say that he's been talking to lawyers on Mars via his combination subspace radio/toilet and it would be just as truthful as the comment about the lawyers in Tennessee. He's full of shit.
Maybe someone is trolling him pretending to be a lawyer?

I don't for a minute think Russ is trying to retain a lawyer. That just doesn't fit his M.O. -- I'm sure he'll self-represent. I doubt that he's acting like he's soliciting a lawyer to represent his case, either (but not because he'd be making impressions that he was going to hire them -- like all of his rules, that wouldn't apply to him). He has too much confidence in his legal abilities to act like he needs someone smarter than him presenting his case, even just to try to get free advice out of them.

He would ask for lawyers' opinions, though. My guess is that he's asked some vague questions about vicarious liability on some legal forum, and a lawyer from Tennessee answered it in a way that didn't obviously torpedo Russ's case. I did check his Quora, and there's nothing there more recent than last fall, so it must be some other legal advice forum that he uses (unless he's deleted it, maybe), but that's his M.O.

I agree. He’s either asking for legal advice or pretending he’s hiring a lawyer in hopes it will look “intimidating”... maybe even both.

I would think that he used a website advice forum. I'm sure they gave him vague advice because it's illegal and unethical to give an official legal opinion with no facts and one side of the story present. It's possible that he called a couple of firms in Nashville, but unlikely because he's not easily understood on the phone and he'd be talking to a receptionist at first anyway. Once any reputable lawyer got his name and did a cursory Google and PACER search, they'd reject immediately. I'm thinking he's being weened again.

Interestingly enough there wasn't a bunch of bitching from him on International Women's Day as I thought there would be which is strange. If anything ,save for some sperging about Taylor, he was TOO quiet. No Facebook action and no Instagram leg humping.

Is it just me or does it seem like something is about to happen, the calm before the chimp out so to speak?

I'm starting to lean towards @whathefuck 's opinion, he may well have been contacted by "a lawyer who has seen his pleas and is interested in his case, who just might be able to help him file a solid discrimination suit...."etc. You know he would JUMP at any external validation of his claims, he's thirstier then a racehorse in a desert run for ANY validation and he hasn't been burned enough by weens yet to become Chris-Chan level cautious.

I have no idea where he gets his money to contemplate jury trials out of state, since he’s clearly unemployed. I suspect his parents help.
Did he get fired from the laundry service? I know he's been looking for other work, but assumed he wanted a "higher status" job, preferably as a paralegal, or at least some sort of office job.

If that’s the case, this is the time for them to use that as a means of control. “If you use our money on anything other than rent, food, and electricity, we will cut you off. That means no lawsuits on our dime. If you sue anybody while we are giving you money, you will get cut off.”
I think that if his parents had any means of controlling him financially, they would have used it by now. His behavior has been so far out of line for so long, now--bad enough to get him excommunicated from the LDS church, and that's a huge deal.

I can understand why they might keep supporting him, in the same way that parents of addicts do, because they don't want to see him starving, sleeping under a bridge, or otherwise coming to harm. But I'm having a hard time convincing myself that a pair of devout Mormon parents are continuing to give their essentially able-bodied son money, when it keeps going to hookers and ridiculous lawsuits against pop stars.

Seems like that’s their best chance of getting a grip on him and making sure he does nothing publicly to further ruin job prospects-although just saying what he does is problematic. His career can’t be salvaged but if he stops suing and talking about it, he may still be able to get a retail stocking/fast food job. But even a Rite Aid manager could check his Facebook and say, “shit, this guy could fall and sue, no way.”
More like, "Shit, this guy's primed and ready to accuse me and the company of discrimination when things don't go his way, or if we fire him for a legitimate reason. No way am I getting us into that mess." Staging an accident isn't Russell's style, but using his disability as a threat to get what he wants and put himself above criticism sure as hell is. Look at the three months' severance pay he got from the law firm--they finally fired him for incompetence, but paid him off so he wouldn't chimp out and accuse them of discrimination.

He makes a big deal of his relatively minor disability, constantly complains about being discriminated against, and he's litigious. Fucking kryptonite, man. And that's before digging deeper reveals how stupid, mean-spirited, and thin-skinned he is, and how creepy he is toward women.

Somebody said he definitely wasn’t getting disability but gave no info as to how they knew that. In my experience, one can get it and earn a certain amount while on it. If they go over a certain amount it’s suspended but if they are unable to work again, it’s reinstated. Having Mobious Syndrome and unable to speak clearly could qualify somebody for that kind of aide. Here is a Mobious Newsletter that encourages people with it to understand SSDI rules.
I think it was @NipplelessWoman who said he wasn't on SSDI, and she's known him IRL.

Even without that, I have a hard time believing he could get on disability. Yes, there are some limitations to what he can do for employment, due to his speech difficulties. And since he can't move his eyes, he can't drive. But he's still essentially able-bodied, and as much of a reeetard as he is, there are people with significant mental disabilities who still get up and go to work every damned day. So he is physically and cognitively able to work and support himself despite his facial paralysis, and thus I can't see him getting approved for SSDI.

Hell, I have a personal lolcow who has some legit physical limitations due to old neck and back injuries, who is currently applying for disability, and I know she's not going to get approved--even with padding out her application with every somatic ailment and mental health issue she's got. She's not going to get approved on her first try, and I don't believe she'll ever get it on appeal, either, and she's more physically disabled than Russell (though they're about equal in terms of personality disorders and sheer fuckwittedness).

There are people with Moebius syndrome who are much more disabled than Russell--they have malformations of the mouth and jaw that make eating and breathing much more difficult; malformations of the extremities that seriously hinder walking or using the hands; and some Moebius folks are deaf, as well. So I'm sure there are people with this condition who are on SSDI, but I don't believe Russell is one of them, or could be one of them. Being a creepy, entitled little asshole is his primary disability, and nobody gets a tugboat for that.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to his million dollar suit against Swift. But if it’s in Tennessee, he’s just talking out his ass, he won’t travel unless hookers are involved.
I'm trying to imagine him on a Greyhound bus to Nashville, in his rumpled, ill-fitting suit, clutching a shopping bag with all of his important legal documents, and telling any passengers within spittle-flying distance all about how Taylor Swift ruined his life. I don't think he'll actually do it, but my god, I hope he proves me wrong.

How dare you!? He has a shitty laptop briefcase now! Also I'm sure he'd Amtrak his ass there.

Anyone seen @sharshorita she's been MIA here for a while but still logs in :s

Could his bipolar disorder combined with the Moebius allow him to get SSDI?

He very rarely brings it up and he's not medicated for it, so he doesn't wave it around like a flag, but I remember when I applied to a corporate job at one point they asked if I was disabled in any way and bipolar was one of the examples they listed.
