I hope she comes back to the thread and has an epiphany, but that doesn't seem likely to happen. She's so defensive of her ideas and designs. She's going to have a tough time making her project succeed if she can't take constructive criticism. You can't grow as an artist if you close yourself off to outside ideas and suggestions.

I wonder how much (if any) research she did before hiring him.

Unfortunately I don't see it happening either. I want her to, I really do. Despite my snarking in this thread, I'd love to see her improve upon her ideas and make it into something that's worth being put out there. It's a shame that there's yet another lolcow out there that thinks their ORIGINAL IDEA DONUT STEAL is perfect the way it is and how dare anyone criticize it!

Until then, I shall continue to lurk the waters and offer my (sometimes funny) comments where applicable.

Also, honestly I don't think she did any research. I think she just picked the first guy that sounded good as well as the first person who said yes to her crazy ideas.

I gave my long, uninteresting, sarcasm-free critique specifically because I think her idea is good and I'd like to see her succeed in it. I'm very doubtful she'll read through it, let alone take it on board, but it was worth trying.

I've been sketching up a new Wogglebug design. I need to dig out my tablet and draw it up on OC+.

I really dislike her skeezy scam artist voice actor. He is taking advantage of her. If she wants a professional voice actor she should put ads in legit publications or approach agencies. If she can't afford to do that and pay for professional actors her project isn't ready to go forward. Better to save your pennies and go with the best, because her current pay bracket is not working out for her in terms of voice work or art.

Ok so I know I'm looking at an illustration from the book, but really? Really?
Wogglebug clearly looks ok aside from having two left hands, and it looks like the girl was copypasta'd in from another work, but Frogman? What devious Lovecraftian powers crafted his upper spinal cord? That is so creepy beyond words I'm literally speechless.

Cynthia, yes, your new illustrator copypastas everything with the characters, but DO NOT GO BACK TO WHOEVER THIS ILLUSTRATOR IS. This would've scared the shit out of me as a kid purely based on Frogman alone. I do not doubt that it would scare other children as well. I'm really not saying this out of spite, I'm saying this seriously.

Frogman looks like a copypaste of Frog from the Frog and Toad Adventure books. Like, a copypaste with clothes pasted on -- the clothes don't even look natural for the model.
