There's probably some more stuff... The house they're renting must be more expensive than the last place.

This show just became too good I just couldn't help myself to finally join in and jump down the Wubbit hole.

A few days late but didn't see this posted, but it always interests me how he'll occasionally get a living breathing human being in his district offering support, and he completely ignores it. Yet a psychopath like Warren was able to earn their trust. I guess birds of a feather are crazy fucks together.

And you know the campaign is serious when he can't even do the bare minimum of reading his email in a week. I guess it's too much effort, just doesn't read to him like those audio books do.

Brianna is rude to voters and potential volunteers, and hasn’t made any effort to look like a true and honest political candidate, especially lately. She wants off the ride.

Meanwhile, her only hire is losing his shit in public and making her look like the fool she is.

Frank is doubling down because he...... wait, does he actually believe in the campaign? He’s the one who posted on ranked choice voting while Brianna hasn’t said a word. Literally all she needed to do was publicly say “I support this” in order to get her name on the ranked choice voting guy’s candidate list.

Frank also canceled his (although he wrote “our”) appearance at Boskone that he was excited about and went to the Caucuses instead. Boskone was supposed to be for him, but he gave it up for the scampaign. Why? Why put in the effort?

New theory: Frank and Warren have fallen in love. They boned between caucuses. Warren dressed as a multilegged sea creature and Frank wore his fuzzy dinosaur suit. The sexual act probably resembled a fight scene in a low budget monster movie. Enjoy your breakfasts, Kiwis. As for Brianna’s spending, Frank feels guilty and is giving her everything she asks for. She no longer has to play sea creature or pretend to be attracted to Frank. It’s over all a huge win for her.

I see Brianna’s high wore off from the Nolan Bushnell/GDC shit show. Probably because it blew up in her face when women who actually worked for him cane to his defense.

Now she’s throwing down where she can and being a major league asshole to people in order to incite a negative response that she can market as unprovoked harassment she received only for being a bold woman in tech.

Funny thing. I actually agree with her on some points. I believe that people socialize with people who are like them. I believe that the fact that these panels are largely white and male reflects biases the organizers aren’t even aware that they have. It’s just common sense and basic psychology. Not an anti feminist conspiracy.

I'm inclined to wonder if Frank's better with money (or has been in the past) than we think. With all the money he's sunk into Flu's bullshit schemes, you'd think anything Frank had would be about gone, or they're going massively into credit card debt, which is quite possible I suppose.

What I'm curious about is if Frank invested his earnings well enough that they've got a stable stream coming in to support Flu's idiocy. The way Flu burns money is incredible, and I can't imagine a 401k alone being able to support that.

It's the concatenation of things that make it ruinous. Individually, some of Wu's spending habits would fine. Taken together, it really begins to add up.
For something like 4-5 years, Wu spent every spare cent of Frank's income on her vanity game project. I'm not entirely sure I believe Wu's statements that they were living on rice and beans for the duration, but it was certainly a big investment to cover 2 full time employees on a single salary.

Now the game company is over, Wu is still spending big and now it isn't even on something that might count as an investment. We know Frank has a car loan for his own vehicle, we know he has a personal loan secured against his 401K. Wu says they took out a loan to buy the second hand Porsche... Assuming the brand new one is actually real, how did they even pay for that?

It's ridiculous spending that I can't see why Frank is going along with. If he really had 100K to spend, then that's a deposit on a nice house that he's just squandered on a toy for BriBri. There's something very wrong about this dynamic, and I'm very interested to watch how it all comes apart in the end.

I think the fact the panels are largely white and male reflect that fact the vast majority of people who are interested in this field are white and male.

The fact that a stupidly high % of the "women" in tech turn out to be troons just shows how male orientated the subject is. Just think about all Brianna's interests. She plays it of as if she's a quirky girl, but the fact is all Brianna's interests are pretty much manly interests.

But speaking as a fucking white male, if I was going to a conference to hear experts speak I'd much rather the speaker be an attractive female than a male. My guess as to why there were no women invited to speak at the beginning is that none of the women invited wanted to speak for free, or they didn't put in an application to be a speaker.
