At the risk of revealing my power level, I can assure you sugar daddies are plentiful and you'd be surprised how many of them are well-kept, good looking men and not the creepy white haired gramps (AKA Frank) that might pop into your head when hearing the word. Sugar daddies are not rare. They are not in demand. If some desperate twink/sugar baby was desperate they have quite a number of options. There are apps specifically designed for finding sugar daddies. Many of them are mid-30s+ and are just lonely guys looking for friendship. Frank is low-tier on the list. He doesn't have the looks. And he barely has the money. He fails even as a fake husband. Nobody should be so desperate for money that they would have to marry Frank. Besides Ms. Wu of course.

The best guess I have for the clothes thing is that John hates shopping for clothes. He seems to insist on buying actual women's clothing (ex. his bitchfest about how quickly he wears out the size 26 women's shoes he gets) which severely limits what he can get and he probably gets triggered whenever something reminds him that he can't dress like his fantasy version of a woman.

He'd already have a hard time just being taller than Janet Reno, never mind being shaped like the man he is on top of that.

It's not like Boston is such a small town it doesn't have any clothing options that would cater to trannies.

Even a 2 meter tall "woman" can look fashionable if she pays enough to get clothes customized to her size. A fraction of the cost of a Porsche. Instead Brianna chooses to dress like a trashy hooker.
 
Looks like I missed a bunch this weekend. So their only campaign worker seems to be a mentally ill spaz. And Brianna is already bored with the campaign and Frank's going to have to do all the work from here on out.

Grace Jones comes to mind.

The problem with John/Brianna is that he has an image of what women look like in his mind and wants to match it but doesn’t realize he can’t. In his mind he’s a hot, tall supermodel/biker chick. In reality he’s an ugly, gangly monster and needs to find clothes that flatter him and distract from his negative features.

He needs to go to Nordstrom and hire a personal shopper. I mean if he has the money...
