I really doubt it, she wasn't the type to say much about shit going on. And considering where I went to school, not much would've been done.
Fem on Fem abuse is way way more likely to get a hand wave, and I'm not completely sure why. Even when there's signicant age differences, or when one side is blatantly pushing themselves on an obviously uncomfortable victim, everyone involved treats it like it's not a big deal. Maybe it's because only male sexuality is viewed as aggressive or intimidating? Or because deep down too many people believe straight women really
are just always waiting to experiment. Or maybe it's a biological prejudice, because since no one's going to get pregnant, it's not 'real' mating so can't be real rape? Either way, it's very upsetting. With so much talk about victim blaming and rape culture sweeping things under the rug, it's unfortunate that women being harassed or outright accosted by other women can expect it to be treated like it's nothing at best, or like it's a good thing at worst.
It's too easy to take the relatively small sample size of personalities we each see when going through life and extrapolate hard rules about it. If you think Group-X has a big problem, maybe you just only ran into jerks from that group and it was your bad luck. But from what I've seen personally, aggressive open lesbians can be way more pushy and shallow than any chauvinist dudebro could ever pull off. And with a disturbing amount of emphasis on youth specifically as part of beauty. I have a friend who was abused by an older women when we were younger, and the abuser told her she needed to experiment and have fun while she was still young and could write it off. (She eventually stopped trying to talk about what happened to her for the most part, because of how many people acted like it was 'kinda hot').
I think a lot of that kind of abusive behavior just stems from self-obsession. People interested in a real relationship (whether gay, tranny, straight, lesbian, whatever) can still find others attractive without thinking of them as literal objectives to achieve sex goals with. But abusive personalities can't. They don't spend time thinking about their victims as real people, just as potential status symbols or prizes based on their visual appearance. It's not just Nice Gals, there's also Nice Guys, old pervy creeps, the young-girl obsessed rat-king types, incels.
Incels are obsessed with the idea that girls are officially worthless at 22, the rat-kings tend to dress like they're elementary school girls because that's what they want to emulate most, old pervs would never consider a girl their own age no matter how compatible they were, and Nice Gals aren't single because they're gay, they're single because they're just as obsessed with the sorority girl stereotype as any drunken frat guy. They don't care about having a
real partner in life, what they want is for a young attractive woman to want
them, for no reason other than to validate their own desirability. It's the worst kind of objectification, and it's a really selfish attitude to adopt.
because she preferred to be friends with men instead of women, didn't like makeup, likes to read, and likes wearing pants. I feel bad for the legit transgender people getting grouped in with these fucks that don't know the difference between "I don't follow gender roles" and "Having a dick makes me want to kill myself"
Being special online is more important than actually caring about minorities
Turns out non-binary's aren't a non-female gender, they're just closeted D&D players who don't realize it yet.
At first I read that as "Women ARE snacks" and shook my head. Then I re-read it, but that didn't make it much better.
If your only two hobbies are sex and eating (which from the looks of your average tumblr crowd is completely true) you should really consider taking up a third.
