I'd put money on Boogie already popping pain pills at this point. For years now, in fact.

A man at his size is likely taking opiates daily for chronic pain. Chronic pain comes with the territory of weighing 500+ at age 40. He's probably on those, something for sleep, maybe something for anxiety, and an anti-depressant too. Combine these with food addiction and you have a man who really needs to look himself in the mirror, if he wants to see any improvement in his life. Regardless of money, fame, or social support networks - it's an uphill battle.

He'll be lucky to get through the surgery, reign-in his medications, start exercising and repairing the 40 years of damage he's done to his body and endocrine system. Forge healthy habits and hobbies etc. All while maintaining a viewer base. It's not impossible.

The easier route is to just "own" it - live fat and die fat.

But if I had to bet on Boogie in 5 years:

  1. Still has half his audience of fawning devotees.
  2. Weighs 300 lbs, and is slowly gaining weight.
  3. Wife has left him for greener pastures, with a good chunk of change. But he'll play it off as 'mutual.'
  4. Still plays games (terribly! nobody ever mentions it, but god damn, he is awful at gaming...), streams, and plays "nice guy" but the facade has worn thin, and he's much grumpier on camera than currently/in the past.
He was already taking a literal basket of pills, including both asprin and ibuprofin, 3 years ago in SSVSS. It would be amazing if he wasnt taking something bigger today.

The only thing that makes me doubt that is his size is likely to make most opioids fairly ineffective. At least not unless he is taking them by the handful. That's part of the reason surgeons are so hesitant to do surgery at those weights. The Anesthesiologist tends to not be happy. It takes so much more anesthetic to have an effect, but you still hit the lethal limits, so the effective range they have to work with is really narrow and not very controllable as a result. This is another reason why they get paranoid about things like cardiac condition.

Interesting. What would someone like boogie use then? Would the doctors just tell him to eat ibuprofin like cereal?

Assuming he dies on the operating table, do you think his army of sycophants and bootlickers will actually have little enough perspective to blame the poor fucking doctors for robbing them of Boogie? I can see that happening if he actually does end up in surgery

Of course not.

I think theres a good enough number of them who are totally dedicated to always take his side, even in death or the face of imminent death brought on by food and the enabling of negative behavior, that we can expect to see something like that. That thing with his wife supposedly leaving him was really disturbing, the way his fans responded to that. Did she have to make all her social media accounts private because of all the messages she was getting, or no?

Well no, because that leads to Kidney and Liver failure. They probably have him on high, but within the boundaries doses of Anti Inflamatories like Ibuprofen or Naproxin. Probably the high dose stuff that's mixed with Pepcid or something similar to help not chew up the digestive tract. They may have him on something like Hydrocodone. (Tylenol + low dose opioid.) But there likely isn't really a lot of good pain management options for him. It's all gonna be joint stresses and arthritis. Trust me nothing takes the edge off that even when you aren't carrying that much weight on your spine, hips and knees. I can't see any sane doctor writing him for something like OxyContin.

This is my line of thought too. It's true that opioids wouldn't be as effective on a lardo, but they are by far the most effective line of defensive for chronic pain, bar none. Boogie most definitely suffers from chronic pain.

The BBC program showed his big basket of pills, in which controlled substances were conspicuously not mentioned. This is probably because BBC isn't going to air somebody's retinue of benzos, ambien, oxycodone, whatever.

I suspect boogie is on a ton of psychoactive pills already, but still finds food is his ultimate weapon of choice.

I might be wrong - there's a good amount of medical knowledge here. But it adds up in my book: Boogie is a roiling ball of anxiety, trauma, complaining, and chronic pain IRL. Any run-of-the-mill quack would throw down SSRIs and pain pills for the guy. Benzos are different as they might run the risk of heart failure during sleep... Not sure on that one, but he suffers acute anxiety supposedly, and again, benzos are by far the most effective short-term treatment for such disorders.

Anyway, I'm just speculating on the idea that he is a poly-drug addict with a massive eating disorder. If this is the case, he's going to be flipping his shit post-surgery, lashing out at everything. It's no wonder his wife is getting fed up with his bullshit already. It's no wonder he's already losing his cool.

The man needs a serious attempt at owning a shift in lifestyle after 40 years. It's either that, or owning the fact he's a fat bastard and will die fat, doing what he loves, eating 5k cals a day minimum to keep that body weight.

It takes work to stay that heavy!

Just an aside: but I think the new 'edgy' Boogie who uses 'cuck' unironically is pretty laughable. His angry inner turmoil is finally breaking through, and his nice guy persona is cracking at the seams. He basically put his wife on blast in front of thousands of people but hasn't yet even recognized that it's an absurd and rude thing to do to somebody you care about.

Edit: I should've made an edit pass. Fucked up some words.

I can't even imagine what kind of detox trip he's in for once he has to stop consuming a massive amount sugary caffeinated beverages. That alone will probably make him want to take the bridge.

So Boogie has been reading and posting on 4chan for "over a decade"

I'm gonna go with some of the posters earlier in this thread and say that Francis is pretty much the real Boogie - or a lot more of Boogie than he wants to admit.

There's a certain delicious irony to the fact that while Boogie insists Francis is a character he invented, the reality is that the tender, tolerant, accepting boogie2988 is the actual character Steven Williams invented for his videos whereas Francis is basically just his real self.

He lives some hick state, right? Does that explain the failed redneck personality he tried to make popular?

He seems like a totally different guy from how I remember him.

This is what happens when reality hits these people. The facade gets dropped and you see the creep behind the persona. Nice Guy is no longer of any use when you're pretty sure you're about to die, or worse, live a life without cheeseburgers. Now you see the hypocrisy and the fraud. He played the part better than a lot of people, but it was always a part. At least he's being honest for the first time in his life. Maybe he'll find some peace in that before an inevitably embarrassing death.

I've never followed Boogie, but I've watched his videos every blue moon and always saw him as the "nice reasonable guy" of Youtube. I never could bring myself to hate him. Truth be told, I would like for the surgery to go off without a hitch and for him to finally drop the weight, but I doubt that will actually happen. Fact is, if you're a 500 pound dude who is nigh immobile, you're gonna have some serious mental issues.

Boogie's fandom is setting their hope for him way too fucking high. Positivity is nice and all, but life is messy and Boogie is a fucking food addict, without a doubt. Getting a gastric bypass isn't going to magically solve all his problems.

Death is a pretty permanent solution to most problems.

Yep, his death is coming soon, either on the operating table or soon after. His fandom wants to believe he'll drop down to 200 pounds or some shit and then live to 90, but that isn't happening, barring a miracle.

Both are Steven's characters made for the show. He's not a nice guy like Boogie and not as energetic and over the top as Francis. He's sad bitter asshole hating himself and everyone else. He wants to hurt people because shit doesn't go his way but can't, so he drowns his sorrows in quarter-pounders. Morbidly obese people wear masks and know their excuses. "It's not my fault, it's how my body works" "Daddy issues" "Bullied in school!" "Food addiction because McDonald's uses chemicals!". They want you to feel for them, root for them, yet behind the closed doors they show their true selfish nature, lack of self-control, laziness and hateful mindset. Steven Williams is no different and his facade is fading.

Okay, Boogie. Darling. You never weigh from your heaviest. You do yourself a dishonorable in doing that.

Time period is always more factually concurrent with what you have truly gained and lost and that's just common sense.

Example: if someone at their heaviest weighed 285, but now weighs 255, you round it to 30 lbs. Right?

If you go by time scale, in March you weighed 285, in May 267 and in July 255. You've actually lost more like 27 lbs. Due to flux.

I've read your post 4 times trying to decipher how going from 285 to 255 equals 27 lbs due to flux. That some sort of cosmic gravitational pull variance factored in?

This might be late, but I just realized He says he's "a victim of munchausen syndrome".
"Munchausen syndrome is a factitious disorder, a mental disorder in which a person repeatedly and deliberately acts as if he or she has a physical or mental illness when he or she is not really sick." (can't screenshot on this thing)

Now i don't even know if i can believe half the shit he says happened to him. Apparently people with this syndrome/disorder make up traumatic events in their past and believe it's real.

Felt like this info was interesting enough that i could bring up this dead ass podcast again.
