It doesn't even make sense as a concept. All you are is your thoughts and memories. There is no "real you" aside from that. If they're trapped in a digital world but can affect it meaningfully to shape it to their will, they are essentially in a paradise they just haven't made yet.

It completely undercuts any horror when it's like that.

Also abstraction is just becoming a Witch from the animu Madoka Magika.

There is nothing creative or interesting about this media property in the slightest and literally all anyone likes from it is the clownussy.

Honestly, Gen 1 ended fine where it was. I don’t see the remaining story teases being that interesting.
I just wish the last sets of gen 1 actually had something cool and big instead of the wet fart of matoran sized versions of 3 actual characters and then 3 generic guys also matoran set sized.

I never took this as a horror series, more a comedy with some 'serious talk moments" every comedy has to have now. This final subversion removes all the actual stakes, any actual character progression (there was some small bits of it) and just basically does game theory-esque shallow bullshit.
Once again REMBER THE GUMMIGOO EPISODE? REMBER HOW THEY FUCKING POINTED OUT THAT THEY WERE REAL HUMANS AND NOT NPC BRAIN SCANS BECAUSE OF THEM NOT BEING IN THE AREA THAT HOLDS MODELS AND ASSETS?

The ending actually just erased the entire show in one blow. Not a single thing the show was building up to actually mattered, and was replaced with a generic "we're screwed but we're happy and trans" ending.

There were never any real stakes, there was never any real development, there was never really even a story.

Nothing built upon anything, nothing stayed consistent, nothing really mattered, nothing ever happens.

What was with the use of that Stevie Wonder song in the middle there? Like, did Gooseworx just insert a "FunnyBunny" AMV in the middle of the finale? It feels insanely rushed and kind of unearned to show a bunch of flashbacks where you attempt to explain Jax's behavior and humanize him after you ALREADY showed him abstract, off-camera, in the most anti-climactic way possible. I can't say I was surprised or 100% disappointed with this ending, but the best I can say is "it was an ending". At least it didn't try to "subvert your expectations" and veer off into a twist ending that makes no sense.

I am once again going to point out how this is a "subverted expectations nothing matter" ending no matter how predictable it is. It directly conflicts with info presented throughout the series that they are actual real people and not just brain scans.

Survivors of the Lime Joint incident of 2007 know this fact very well, my friend.
2007 lime joints as shit as they were still had the actual solid style of joint mold instead of the cheaper wafer thin ones that already snapped apart first time assembling. The lime joints after that change really, really fucked things up. You still find them intact sometimes if they'ree already assembled but they risk falling apart if used. Lego's formula changed sometime since then to also get even more brittle on top of that so you've got colors like brown and dark red now working like an even more volatile lime

Xitter keeps coping that Troonworx made the ending bad because of 'le fanbase can't behave durrr' because of a Xeet xe made after the pilot and it's so obvious that xe just can't write :story:.

I mean there's also the more recent meltdowns that imply that the ending was changed last minute on top of the reveal the episode "wasn't finished" leading to the korea situation.

You forgot to mention that in late 2025, Glitch bought Lackadaisy.

This is an official drawing by Lackadaisy creator, Tracy J. Butler. In fact, judging from her Tumblr account, she's very proud that her creations are part of the Glitch family.

As the average Glitch show, they confirmed that Lackadaisy will only have one season.
