I recall he rubbed it in their face a little about finding the leak but not like, going THAT hard in the paint

About ten years ago I started rewatching Quantum Leap and I had forgotten how preachy and self righteous that show was.

tbf I've met more than a couple of prolifers who get really pissy similarly because they were supposed to have been killed, so I wasn't really like, upset by it, I was just a little surprised to see something I encounter in pro-life circles in TNG

I think both Picard and Sisko being married to their jobs makes a lot of sense. People don't join Starfleet to meet and fuck, they go through the retardo academy and put up with possibility getting assassinated by crazy aliens while trying to help them and eliminate psycho bio-weapons because that's the cutting edge of exploration in a post-scarcity society.

I was really happy that the writers never tried to ship Sisko and Kira, or Jadzia, or whatever. They literally had Jake find him a woman just as stubborn as he is. Penny Johnson was perfect for the role, too. Jake being a little ladies man was funny as fuck.
