Not a medfag, but Hantavirus primarily spreads from infected mouse piss and shit. If you touch the infected mouse piss and shit, you catch it. It can spread through the air, especially if it disperses from said infected mouse piss and shit, but it doesn't spread airborne from person-to-person very well. There's already a strain (Andes strain) that does this, but it's rare and only happens after extended and close contact. The typical tradeoff for viruses is that high lethality leads to low spread and transmission. Ebola is a great example of this: it kills the shit out of you, but it does this so quickly that you can't spread it to many people.

Hantavirus can kill you dead pretty good, but this reduces the chance of it spreading.

I'm not a real medfag, but "airborne" is a definition question. The Andes strain (which the one on the cruise ship seems to be) spreads via saliva, that means it can transfer by just talking with someone. People spread spittle a lot more than they think.
The strain caused an outbreak in 2018-2019 in Argentina which has a rather detailed analysis published in New England Journal of Medicine (Martínez et al., 2020), so you can read up on the details.
 
It turns out the wife was able to get on board a SECOND plane but was removed because of how sick she was getting.

So we have people who are not symptomatic who are testing positive, and people who are symptomatic but are testing negative. This reminds me of early shanghai shivers where the tests were unreliable. Alternatively, it could mean the virus has (or was) mutated to the point the tests have issues picking it up.

Which might be a problem if people are cleared to leave the ship and go back ho.....

If one constantly prognosticates total and complete doom 24/7 - my main question is, if the lockdowns are a bygone conclusion and all that remains is indignity and suffering, then why not overdose on black pills and just fucking shotgun lobotomy yourself already? If it's truly that bad, stop doomposting and put your fucking money where your mouth is - put an end to it, lead by example. This applies to all doomers and panicans. In reality, you know shit really isn't that bad, you're just an alarmist and you can still eat your tendies and play your bing bing wahoo and you're afraid of oblivion, so you won't.

It would be a shame if that ship took a detour to the Strait of Hormuz and got hit by an "Iranian" missile strike. They new Ayatollah and not the CIA could save the world from going insane from another lockdown.
