Yeah, dude was completely unhinged and the Christy Mack shit was no surprise to anyone except Mack herself maybe (porn whores are not known for their intelligence). Motherfucker probably thrives in prison, perfect enviroment for someone like him.
There are many women completely trapped in extremely unhealthy, physically abusive "relationships", mostly of the shitskin variety, and i (somewhat) feel for them, but your average girl who has a thing for "bad boys" and is practically asking for getting slapped around by their man is getting zero sympathy from me. I do understand the Cycle of Abuse and resulting patterns of behaviour and what not to an extent but it is really not hard to not want to get beaten by your spouse and not putting yourself in the situation were that happens over and over again, no matter what any psychiatrist or the social sciences have to say on that matter. As stated in another post, knew women like that, i'd never bother with someone who is broken on such a fundamental level.

You really shouldn't. They can still walk away. That is always an option. The trap is never "perfect" and there is always some non-violent, non-lethal way out. There is practically no end of help available for female victims of domestic violence. There is an endless supply of suckers (especially men) for such women to glomp onto and leech from indefinitely (or until a more physically appealing substitute for the previous abuser comes along).
I get bristly at this bullshit because I watched women enjoy every possible form of assistance as I experienced the opposite personally -- as a male victim of DV, there is jack fucking shit available. Two DV shelters (in the very large city where I lived when that all happened) refused me entry because I "was a danger to the women in the shelter" despite being wounded and holding medical records detailing the injuries and a police report detailing their cause. Sympathy? lol fuck no, "you're a man, suck it up, pussy." No financial help. No shelter. No victim advocate. Met with suspicion everywhere (i.e. surely I "deserved it" for some reason).
Fuck all that. Even if a woman genuinely looked for red flags and didn't see them because her partner masterfully hid them from her, no sympathy if she chooses to stay once he shows his true colors. There are shelters, kindly neighbors, police departments, hospitals, gyms, fucking everything out there is open to women victims of DV. She will be universally perceived as "stunning and brave" for "finding the courage" to walk away from a dangerous relationship and showered with help.

Common misconception. Women do not fantasize about getting groped on trains or raped by masked melanated home invaders. They fantasize about a man they would be into anyway being so overwhelmed with passion for her that he loses control. The thing is, women are also people. They make mistakes, misunderstand others, don't realise that they have it good, do embarrassing shit and think about it randomly at 3 am, they are not RNG genies. There is a whole world out there, limiting yourself to one woman who just so happens is a friend of a friend of your relative or whatever would be wasting the fact that the world has never been so small, not to mention that most men do not approach women at all these days. If you talk first, you are actively in the lead, even if nothing comes out of it. Also, don't talk to women while having the "if I do this right, we'll fuck" mindset. Just talk like you are trying to make friends and if you hit it off, proceed further. Friends to lovers, that's the pipeline, don't trust the hookup culture. Sex with a stranger you had no time to learn anything about is shit and makes you feel like shit, why do you think all pornstars are on drugs and absurd amounts of cope? Numbs the emotional pain.
And when it comes to spotting crazies, they are not nearly as common as Instagram reels would have us believe and usually out themselves early on anyways, since they are, you know, crazy. Red flags are a thing, so are friends you can actively ask for advice. Most crazies will give you plenty of opportunities to go get milk way before things escalate into false rape charges, or even just ghost you themselves (BPD girls will usually cut themselves out of your life way before you give them the chance to ruin it).

That is the main problem. A lot of people are conditioned by what they see on the internet and thus they extrapolate it to their lives. Sometimes to an unhealthy degree but we are just retarded monkeys that fall prey for what we see a lot.

Then stop looking at it. Heal yourself first, it will give you perspective. There are people ruined by this stuff, but so were great many extremely attractive women pumped and dumped (or worse) by rich perverts, effectively ruining them psychologically. I fumbled a really nice woman because I was too depressed by the end of COVID to comprehend that anyone could ever like me, and because of my rejection she latched onto the first guy who came along, which begun her downwards spiral. I still feel at least partly responsible for where she was physically and mentally the last time I've seen her, yet I would never want to not have met her at all.
I know how you feel, but life, despite the slogan, is long and history tends to happen all at once.
If you want to wean yourself off social media, I recommend a day-in-day-out system, where you don't look at it every other day, and only checking them on your PC, never on the phone, unless it's an emergency/work related. You've got to rewire your brain a bit, break the habit, then you won't even think about going back.

Nah, i'm off social media and have been for years. No Xitter, no Insta... Nothing. I abandoned because i was pissed and sad all the time and leaving was one of the best choices i've done. People think i'm a weirdo for doing it but i know better.
The problem lies in other things. Other deeper things that i think would not be appropiate to talk about here. I know them. I know my shortcomings and i don't know if i could bear with making a person i love bear with everything that i have. Plus, i'm used to being alone
