It can make sense. He probably has brain damage from boxing, which can cause problems with emotional regulation. He could be a sweet caring guy, it's just that the part of his brain that holds back impulsive behavior got beaten to snot. Of course loving a guy for the part that is really sweet and caring, when his other part is an unchained psycho wifebeater, is stupid.

I remember (correct me if i'm wrong, this happened a long time ago) that the girl said that after beating her bloody he would have a lot of remorse and guilt and to atone he would essentially give her gifts, take her into trips and get her favourite food for like 2 or 3 weeks before he swung back into Ralphamale mode.

It was even dumber in this case because he wasn't even being cucked. They broke up months before, she'd moved away and at some point started dating another guy and then one day War Machine decided to break into their house at like 3am and beat the shit out of them both. Probably the dumbest bit though was this:

Sadly it's not just porn stars who act like that. Women are fucking stupid about staying with abusive partners. You wouldn't believe how many women will still defend their men even after brutal near-death beatings. It's the main reason many US states are enacting domestic violence laws explicitly granting officers (and/or "the state") to press charges in DV situations where it's fucking obvious what's happening but the dumb bitch "doesn't want to get him in trouble" (despite calling the police in the first place). The behavior has to be punished but the dumb broads won't cooperate (but boy howdy will they ever bitch about it ... quietly, after the fact, when the victim points are most valuable).
