They’re already letting their hearts and minds rot away by watching Fox News’s angertainment 24/7, which is already allowed in nursing homes across the country. The effects of watching that trash all day every day is much worse for a deteriorating mind than being allowed to enjoy a martini or two in the evening, and I know this because I’ve seen it first-hand with my own elderly relatives; it’s like a drug that makes them forget how to act like calm and rational humans beings. The ones who would get belligerent will be that way regardless of alcohol, if anything the lack of coordination will make them easier to wrangle.

Compared to the effects of that degeneracy, giving them alcohol is like pissing into the ocean. This is just more manufactured outrage.

I would agree with you, but I remember how in 2020 the left put in tons and tons of restrictions on us, including keeping family away from people in these types of homes to keep them alive by any means necessary regardless of how miserable it made them.
