Now... I'm not saying I'm 100% behind Walz's bill. I personally believe that privately owned 'rest homes' are universally evil and that they all should be nationalized by force. But Walz's bill is manifestly reasonable- it basically says that rest homes in MN will be allowed to serve up alcohol that residents of rest homes have bought on their own dime, not through the rest homes, in social situations, rather than drinking alone in their rooms (which has always been legal).

MAGAts are saying that residents of rest homes should not be able to enjoy the same rights as those who drunkenly carry a bottle into swingers clubs or BYOB strip clubs in states with that regulation. I would say 'Curious'... but when the only White people who are demented enough to vote for you are dying off every year, I guess forcing elderly Whites to live in teetotal misery is a sensible political decision? 'Disgusting' or 'cynical' is more appropriate.

Is it though? Have you ever been around an elderly person with Alzheimer's? Imagine if you added booze to the mix. I know what you're probably going to say and that's well hey Lip, maybe they won't be giving the alcohol to those people. To that I would retort with I used to have a girlfriend that worked in a home for nuts, and she told me that once something is readily available in a facility, it's going to find its way to pretty much every patient in that facility that wants it.
"I'm sorry but your mother's pacemaker couldn't keep up because she was over served and it couldn't get her heart back into rhythm and she died" seems like a pretty reasonable thing to crash out over.

I'm talking about the medical risks of people with bad hearts and minds that are literally melting away drinking alcohol, so I have no idea how to respond to this.
Not to mention the fact that can you imagine a home full of belligerent drunk war vets? You know how many people get physically assaulted and fucked up on a daily basis by nursing home patients as it is? I'm sure letting them enjoy some libations that are known to make people take a fucking swing isn't going to raise that number up.
 
Letting the elderly kill themselves with cirrhosis is extremely based and helps fund the hospice service industry. Definitely a W for Walz.

So the US nursing homes don't have proper medication for violent patients and can't keep track of who can drink or eat certain items?

Well that's probably because they give out free health care to everyone and their entire global military presence is based on the fact that we won't let anybody get that close to our border.
