The difference between these games and slots or other casino games; is, at least in Nevada that I know of, you have the Nevada Gaming Commission which requires games to payout a certain percentage. Meanwhile, these machines don't have any such legislation or requirement, so the owner/operator can set the difficulty high/payout rate low. Key machines won't align properly if it hasn't been paid enough, claw machines will not close all the way and other small things that look like player error, but is baked into the control software. If you find yourself asking what's more honest, a casino slot machine or one of these prize machines, the answer is the casino slot machine. That being said I can't vouch for online stuff, they operate on a whole different level since they're not even USA based.

Source: Helped out an arcade owner in my youth (he paid me in free play) and worked in a casino for several years as IT.

As previously stated it is drink. This roughly what I imagine his daily routine / loop is:
  1. Wake up hanging like Saddam on Youtube
  2. He will have a hangover recovery routine
  3. He will "retrace" the previous nights events
  4. Realise he said some mad shit on Twitter/X and start panicking
  5. Start cleaning up the most egregious stuff
  6. Start making his slop
  7. Stream one of this podcasts
  8. Finishes slop production
  9. The evening rolls around he says to himself "I deserve a drink"
  10. He reads all the stuff people are saying about him. Starts getting angry
  11. As he drinks he starts getting brave
  12. He starts talking mad shit on Twitter/X/Discord or wherever or does some gayops
  13. He keeps getting wasted. Probably raids the fridge or calls up a take-away
  14. Falls asleep on the Sofa
  15. Go back to Step 1

YT has blocked my personal Jer archival project after I snagged about 1300 videos. I've got the subtitle search, clipping, and ai analysis all ready to go, I just can't figure out how to get the rest of the videos. I've tried every workaround documented in yt_dlp for cookies and authorization, and they're still fucking me over. The only technique I'm aware of that I haven't tried is VPN, which I don't have access to.
