I think people are a bit misguided about HCB's looks. I'd argue that if you removed all makeup, filters and lighting, HCB likely is much more naturally attractive than Melanie Mac. Mel spends hours meticulously crafting a barely viable illusion while HCB dresses and presents herself modestly.

HCB isn't trying to use her body as a crutch to make up for a lack of intellect or personality. She's presumably happily married, a mother and trying to be taken seriously so she downplays distractions.

tl;dr - people tend to confuse HCB as unattractive because she doesnt dress and act like a stupid whore.

You know what, this is a very good take. I agree. HBC is elevated because she dresses and looks modest, humble. Melonie does all this work to craft an image but falls short of her intended goal, she is arrogant and this brought down.
