If it isn't about the money, why didn't he file in Australia? Sure, Billy wouldn't have to pay a cent if Jobst won, but he'd stand a good chance of actually winning and his remaining fan base would probably eat that shit up and they'd be able to use it as a bit of evidence to point to why Karl was right actually. I think this is just pure delusion, he actually thinks he stands a chance.

HE really is that delusional that he did those slop videos calling billy countless times a cheater, fraud, poser and basically poking & dunking on his persona because of views.

But when billy owned him to the point of being ´´billy's bitch´´ then having his deserved victory laps to dunk him back as many times: Noooooo that's a problem! You're defaming me and i will not take it mate!

Well he already lost in Australian court pretty handily and is on record that Karl is out to get Billy, so it wouldn't be a good look to Karl if Billy brings that up in Australian court. In the US court they usually don't care too much about foreign rulings because they have different standards so Karl gets a clean break.

Another reason I suspect Karl is suing in the US is because Billy accused him of hiding assets, and Karl very clearly did shuffle things to his wife before the bankruptcy and if Billy presents evidence of this and is found not guilty of defamation, then nothing really happens because Karl and his wife are Australians and it is a separate issue outside of US jurisdiction. But that happens in Australian court there is a good chance he gets in even more legal trouble.

Also the pay the other party's legal fees thing isn't as fun of a rule Karl thought and international lawsuits are expensive so he doesn't want to double dip.
 
I think I get his master plan now. He probably tried to get a lawyer, was unable to do so since he very likely wanted one to work on contingency while they all wanted money up front because this is definitely not a slam dun like he thinks it is. So he’s trying to prove them all wrong by defeating a motion to dismiss as a pro se litigant in hopes they reconsider.
