I've been wanting a handheld PC for a while and decided about a month and a half ago to finally pull the trigger given the memory shortage and Steam Deck stock issues. Ended up with the top of the line Legion Go S with the Z1 processor and 32GB RAM. I haven't had a ton of time to mess around with it, but I've been impressed so far. I took it on a recent trip and it was just damn cool to whip it out and play some New Vegas at the airport gate. The last few nights I've been playing Mass Effect LE in bed before I go to sleep. Again, just a damn cool experience. The battery life leaves a lot to be desired, but I kind of expected that going in.

I recently picked up a 1.5TB microSD to load up my ROM library onto it. Still a work in progress. I'm finding it a bit aggravating trying to get everything to my liking with EmuDeck and ES-DE, but I find enjoyment tinkering with shit like that. Also trying to get some non-Steam/Windows games (WoW and Final Fantasy XI) running in Linux. I have next to no experience with Linux, so that's been interesting too. Hoping I'll have a couple days free soon just to dedicate to getting everything just right with it.

I’m buying another pair of headphones since most of the earphones I have are dying out. It’s one of the Phillips™ brand types.
SoundCore makes some pretty solid over-the-ear headphones. I currently have a Q20+ and a Q30. I also have a Sony WF-1000XM5 headset.

For sound quality, it depends. I'd recommend the SoundCore Q20+ over the Q30 for all around sound. The Sony would be more for deep, theatrical sound.

Noise cancelling is about the same for all of them with Sony possibly gaining an edge just because the cups cover your ears a bit better.

Battery life is great for all of the headphones.

I wouldn't recommend the Sony headset though. It recently developed a quirk where if I talk and am not in a meeting, it'll switch off nose cancelling and pause whatever media I'm listening to, which is highly annoying.

How are they dying? Batteries are usually easy to replace, and pinched wires are a breeze unless they're in an awkward spot.
I should have elaborated.

It’s actually counterfeit Apple headphones I once bought on eBay for almost $10. One side of the piece is not working.

Also, these Phillips headphones are so far pretty good. The Soy headphones I have are slightly better, but the sound quality for the Phillips one is pretty noticeable after a few listens.

This is what happens when it's late at night, your inhibitions have naturally lowered, you've been plagued with self-doubt and other issues for a while, and you assure yourself it's okay because it's not like you're going to wear it in public.

This is going to be fun for a while or turn into a complete disaster.

Why is there a strap on the tail instead of a plug......?

Crate & Barrel, glass mug not included - no commish to Josh unfortunately. Mango wood body, iron beak and feet, made in India. Usually $50 but discounted because of a minor flaw wheere the beak joined the body that was easy to repair. Also avail in natural wood tone and bad ass black.

I haven't bought it, YET, but I'm on an unironic manhunt for this thing. The Barbie Unlock Diary.

I can't find it ANYWHERE. It's sold out everywhere and any places that claim to have it are incredibly sketch and even if I wanted to risk having my credit card stolen I can't figure out where to even add to cart cause they're like barely strung together google site templates. The ideal is if I can find the full set cheap, it SHOULDN'T be hard cause it's not like many other people want this. I'm just weird and retarded.

What's the backstory? Why do you need to "assure" yourself? What disaster? WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON???

It looks like there's a different one that unlocks with a bracelet, but it's nowhere near as cute.

For reasons even I'm not sure of, I decided to get into collecting toy cars, and started with this little beauty:
great bite leopard shark monster truck.jpg

I am a simple man. I like sharks, I like leopards, I like monster trucks, this is like a match made in heaven for me.

I'm planning on getting a few Matchbox cars next paycheck.

It's not, but it's still sick to be honest... Where'd you find it? Might have to keep it in mind!
Only issue is the bracelet is probably made for the wrist of a child so I could never wear it :sigh:
eBay, looking for "barbie unlock diary." You could wear the bracelet on a chain or cord with a larks-head knot.

highly error-prone and annoying-sounding quasi-fuzz for bass guitar (approximately)

kind of expensive, but recommended for anyone who plays monophonic electric instruments and hates pleasant sounds

The Complete Encyclopedia of Motorcars 1885-1968, picked it up second hand for 25 bucks. And it really is complete, covering makes I've never heard of before, over 600 pages. No Teslas, Kia, Hyundais or such as it came out in 1968 of course, but if I want to identify some obscure car in traffic in Istanbul or Vienna in 1921 from an old pic I can do it. I already have a fair few other automotive books but this covers the early 20th century stuff really well that is difficult to find much about online
