The thing was that Ruby Rose left production in-between seasons after Season 1 had to end early because of the pandemic. So Kate was killed off and replaced with original character Ryan Wilder... until they brought Kate back and recast her by justifying the face change with a skin graft. Why they didn't just recast her from the start is anyone's guess.

This is how they originally marketed the series:

Batwoman revolves around Kate Kane, who, armed with a passion for social justice and flair for speaking her mind, soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence.

After Ruby Rose left, the race swap was inevitable.

Uh that's a little problematic. Seems like they're not promoting the fact that she's Jewish and pushed the gay stuff instead. These showrunners are literally doing a antisemitism. If Batwoman had any actual fans they would all be pretty upset right now.

I don't normally like it when characters are abruptly killed off when their actors' contracts are over, but they really should have just killed Ralph off-screen, because this was just embarrassing. It says a lot when the Batwoman show did a better job working around the loss of a main castmember inbetween seasons than this show did.

But hey, at least these writers tried to wrap up Ralph's story instead of ignoring him like what Marvel did with Kang.

I was still watching some of the Arrowverse at the point it had Elongated Man in it and the character and actor was one of the best characters. Actually interesting, and imperfect in a more believable way than usual. Then suddenly he was gone. Because of "racist tweets," I heard. TBF, even though this was Me Too era his tweets were a little... odd.

I think they're humour as I don't think he's ever been in any actual legal trouble for anything like this. But it's humour I don't get. Regardless, he was actually good in the role and it sucked he got himself axed over this. He's apparently never been in anything since.

Good Lord, no. About the best you can say for the Batwoman show is that it has attractive women on screen and the actress playing Alice tries her best to single-handedly keep it entertaining. And I actually like Ruby Rose, but if half the crap I have read about her experiences on the show is true (and I believe at the least, some of it is), I don't blame her for getting the Hell out.

I'd say Batwoman is a contender or the worst DC live action media there is if not for the atrocity that was Gotham Knights

It's amazing.
Some stuff in this show is indistinguishable from a spoof, I recommend for a laugh.
Worst part was when the horrible lead actress quit and they replaced her with a mediocre negress who was just boring.

Every film besides the nostalgia bait for the 00s has either broken even or been a flop. The story had no traction and audiences weren’t on board with the direction Marvel was heading. It was better to cut the loses, restart, and act like Kang never happened. The actor being abusive just gave the perfect excuse to drop it and go with a more audience enticing Dr. Doom arc.

If this was solely about the allegations, we wouldn’t be getting Avengers 5 with a returning cast of OG MCU actors. Avengers 5 would be about the all new, all diverse squad of phrases 4 & 5 heroes.

We don't know that it's not.

Recall that NWH, D&W and MoM all concluded their nostalgia baiting by fucking killing or erasing from existence all of the characters they brought back. Just because OGs are in the cast doesn't mean they'll be the focus.

Meanwhile all of the All New All Diverse Avengers are confirmed. The cast is overcrowded, somebody's gonna get jobbed and it's not gonna be them because of optics and sunk cost fallacy and because they're cheaper to work with.

The POCs pox is terminal, they can't walk it back.

Hope I'm wrong but I'm not.

Nevertheless, it is perplexing how Razorfist failed to recognize that Kingpin serves as an allegory for Donald Trump within the Marvel Cinematic Universe until now. Comparing Trump to Kingpin and Lex Luthor was a common motif in the 1980s and 1990s. Season 3 of Netflix Daredevil wasn’t subtle about comparing Kingpin to Trump.

Not to defend this fucking faggot but he was talking about the heavy handed use of Fisk = Trump as far back as Season 3 of the Netflix show. You may find it in his videos about it, or in streams he did with people like Midnight's Edge, or in tweets, if you can be arsed to go through all that shit but I sure as shit will not.
But I assure you he did, I listened to those videos and streams at the time, I remember it clearly.
