I think you think a person is a regime. A person is not a regime, even if it was a leader. A system is a regime. The IRGC state-within-a-state lead by an Ayatollah is a regime. Eliminating that was not the goal.
The transition from Biden to Trump wasn't a "regime change," The assassination of Lincoln or Kennedy wasn't a "regime change." The last regime change we had in the US was in 1776 when we switched from a monarchy to a representative republic. That is what a regime change is. The IRGC system can stay in place if they surrender their nuclear ambitions.

The difference between these two things is immense. They also claimed we could not stop their Uranium Enrichment at all, AFTER we struck with Midnight Hammer. So, while that may have been true, Iran itself was absolutely not interested in giving up. They just have not been capable of restarting the program.

Obviously, yes the United States is winning. It can hit anywhere in Iran it wants with an average materiel loss of 0.19 planes per day. The Israeli average loss is 0 planes per day btw. If your definition of "the United States isn't winning" is "oil prices are where they were 3 years and 8 months ago" and "the country with 600,000 active military and a pre-war stockpile of about 1,500 ballistic missiles and several thousand short range missiles (<500km range) hasn't had its entire military capability destroyed in 22 days" then you're not doing anything but breaking the thread rules by shitpost arguing in the news thread

I am less concerned by the thought of them not sending their best than I am by the thought that this might be their best.
If the Europeans want to be consulted on military matters perhaps they should first have functioning militaries they are willing to use.
