You are decomissioning nuclear reactors and dismantling your tech tree and military. Without the EU you would still be under an actual Sovereigns umbrella.

Part of what Sovereigns do is prevent new Sovereigns. This is part of what this war is.

Alot of the geo politics around Iran were guaranteeing a new Sovereign didnt enter the world stage. Its also why Russia and China are shedding few tears. BRICS pretends its a club and a route to sovereignty, but the reality is China, India, and Russia dont want to deal with additional peers.

Israel's early association with Jewish Communists in Europe and North America is the primary reason the country is viewed with extreme suspicion. They did move away from them after the Yom Kippur War when it became patently obvious Israel was as much a target of the Economic and Race Communists as the Western Block was. But there are still a shit ton of old Jewish Communists still in the west shilling the same shit they did back in the 50's and 60's and the hang over from that is real and manifesting these days.

Don't look up the average age of the reactor fleets. Nuclear is on the way out, has been for years. The current strategy to keep it running is just to slap more operational years on the existing reactors, not build new reactors. New projetcs will not compensate for the retiring of the current reactors. Neither in Europe, nor the US.
