When someone, and Italian in this case, posts something like this :

Is the assumption he is lying? He is making shit up?
NOT EVEN S-500S. YOU GET THE S-400S. These are, in NATOspeak, SA-21 Growlers. They are from the 1990s. This is pathetic. these things were so bad the russians took over a decade to implement them because of how long they were working on getting them fully functional.
the S-400 only has a range of 400km. the F-35 can strike a target from about 320km away. this thing is basically a token effort by the russians.
if this article is in any way true (as in what they're getting) this will be another test run against russian radar systems, because they claim the Nebo-M can detect both the F-22 (which is funny since no one's ever had one fly over to test) and the F-35 (again, no evidence of this at all.) it will be interesting because venezuela revealed that the JY-27 either did not work, or was operated ineffectively.
it'll be interesting to see if we spot a Nebo-M array get destroyed, these things are pretty big and would likely be a huge target. they send out a pretty big signal, not hard to find it because of that. i do not believe the Nebo-M will outperform the JY-27 though, as it's an even older model than the JY-27 was, and we've seen that russia is still having significant trouble with ukraine, i don't know how much i buy what their lab boys in propaganda journals claim.
eta: the article also claims that the pentagon has been aware of these assets for 3 full days, meaning BEFORE the last three days of strikes. either iran never got these set up in any way, or it just makes no difference at all and it turns out the russians were bluffing. i'm inclined to lean toward the latter.
